  • http://www.cnshangde.com/Trampoline, an elevated resilient webbed bed or canvas sheet supported by springs in a metal frame and used as a springboard for tumbling. Trampolining, or rebound tumbling, is an individual sport of acrobatic movements performed after rebounding into the air from the trampoline. Although rebound tumbling has existed for centuries, it did not achieve wide popularity until the 20th century, when it became a featured attraction performed by circus acrobats. The modern sport was born in 1936 with the development of the present-day trampoline by American gymnast George Nissen. The first unofficial American trampolining competition took place in 1947, followed by the first official American championships in 1954. The sport was included in the Pan-American Games for the first time in 1955. In 1962 the first open international trampolining event took place in West Germany, after which the first world championship was held in England in 1964. Immediately after the 1964 competition, officials from participating countries met to form the International Trampoline Association, the sport\'s worldwide governing body. Trampoline gymnastics debuted as an Olympic sport in 2000. A competition consists of one compulsory and one optional routine, with the winners of those events performing another optional routine. Each routine is limited to 10 contacts with the trampoline, with competitors scored on difficulty, execution, and form. But for most of time, trampoline is used as an entertainment for children and family. Finding ways to keep children occupied during the long days of summer can be a challenge! There is so much daylight and only so many activities you can come up with when your children need some outdoor play encouragement. But, if you have a trampoline (or know someone who does) your options for outdoor family fun are almost endless! And there are many types of trampoline with different shpaes or functions to choose from, such as Rectangular Trampoline, Oval Trampoline, Inground Trampoline, Fitness Trampoline, Big Trampoline, External Trampoline, Internal Trampoline, Luxury Trampoline, Children Trampoline, etc. Trampoline newbies Our family got our first trampoline this summer. I was a little nervous about it but I soon realized there is SO much fun be had and so many new trampoline games to play. My boys have already spent many hours on the trampoline this summer. Now that we have it I can’t imagine our yard or a summer evening without it. The trampolines of today, with their padded spring covers and fall-proof nets, are so much safer than the trampolines I grew up on. It\'s a lot more fun for us parents knowing the kiddos are safe. Trampoline safety tips Even though trampolines are designed to be safer than they used to be doesn\'t mean you still shouldn\'t take some precautions. Here are a few trampoline safety tips for kids. Go over these rules with your little ones before they play and remind them of the importance of being safe on the trampoline. Adult supervision on a trampoline is always required. Always use a safety net around your trampoline. No gymnastic exercises or stunts, such as somersaults or flips. Never allow children to bounce off the trampoline. To prevent young children from getting on without supervision, do not leave a ladder or chair near the trampoline. Make sure your trampoline is on a clear, flat area free from potential hazards, such as fences, hedges, trees, washing lines or other equipment. Always carefully review the safety materials included with your trampoline.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.kidswaterproofjackets.com/Some wear only one jacket all winter. Others alternate between 2 or 3 jackets. It\'s important to consider the temperature (obviously) and what you intend to do with your ski jacket. For example, for an intense day of cross-country skiing, even if it\'s -20°C, you\'ll opt for a thin windproof coat. On the other hand, we\'ll usually prefer a long, thick and well-insulated jacket for an evening stroll in the city. WHAT KIND OF WINTER JACKET DO YOU NEED? Winter jacket can be devided into many kinds for different people or functions, such as Girls Winter Jackets, Boys Winter Jackets, Mens Winter Jackets, Ladies Winter Jackets, etc. There are three main types of winter jackets. To find the right one for you, think about the activities you plan on doing. Do you need a jacket for walking around town and going to work, or are you looking for something to wear in the backcountry? Technical jackets are the best choice for those looking for lightweight warmth that allows for full range of movement when engaging in outdoor activities. These jackets that are suitable not only for cold weather, but for various activities like skiing, ice climbing and mountaineering. These jackets will include more technical features like helmet-compatible hoods and pit-zips to increase airflow during high-intensity activities. Generally, technical jackets are more lightweight than casual around-town winter jackets, and will be more compressible and packable. Most technical jackets made for intense winter pursuits will feature a 3-layer (3L) construction. This term is most often associated with membranes like GORE-TEX that use a layering system to create durable waterproof shells, perfect for wearing on top when layering. More layers can sometimes mean more weight, so some technical jackets will be designed to reduce bulk and weight while maintaining total weather protection. Some coats are warm coats that are chic enough for the office, happy hour or a shopping trip downtown. These coats will be a bit longer and have features designed for added comfort like a larger hood - sometimes trimmed with fur - and lined pockets. Here, technical details are not particularly necessary because the winter coat will not be used for high intensity activities. Instead, the most crucial element when it comes to urban coats is thermal capacity. Some jackets look just as good in the city as they do on the slopes! They combine attractive style and functionality, with a number of technical details and a well thought-out design. Some offer, among other things, models designed for long days in the mountains, but that are warm enough for days spent in the city. In general, the jackets in this category will be waterproof and protect you well from difficult weather, while being sufficiently insulated. Another interesting detail is that it\'s often possible to get a quality jacket at a reasonable price. In addition, it\'s often a jacket that can be worn all winter long because of its versatility. POCKETS ARE PRACTICAL Pockets are an essential part of our winter jacket. Having secure and utilitarian pockets allows your coat to be functional and organized. Look for a jacket with an internal pocket that\'s compatible with an audio cable so you can move around while listening to the latest hits. This pocket can also hold your important cards if your wallet is too big to keep up with you on the slopes. For those looking for a technical winter jacket for mountaineering or backcountry skiing, check the location of the pockets and their depth. Pockets that are easily accessible and large enough can make all the difference. For clothes for other seasons like normal jacket and pants, there are also some differents design or function. For example, there are obvious special design for differnt people in clothes like Kids Jackets, Girls Jackets, Boys Jackets, Girls Pants, Boys Pants and so on.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.right-diytools.com/You may have heard about a Hot Melt Glue Gun. For those who don\'t know, these are devices that are used to disperse hot melted adhesives to stick two or more metal parts together. Talking about the hot melts, they are tubular-structured sticks made of thermoplastic. Originally, they were created as an enhanced version of water-based adhesives. They can be used for a large number of materials and projects. From delicate clothes to dense wood, a hot glue gun can stick anything with ease. The following are the various uses of a Hot Melt Glue Gun with Switch. Depending on the design of your gun, the hot melt is pushed inside the back part of your gun with a trigger. Inside the back part, the glue stick starts melting. Also, there are valves in the front opening of your gun that prevents the glue from spilling out. There are a lot of newer models that provide you with a transparent view of the glue. Therefore, with such models, you can determine if an adequate amount of glue is melted or not. In general, the melting process can take anywhere around two to five minutes. BENEFITS OF HOT GLUE Hot melt glue sticks has a number of unique advantages over other types of adhesives: Hot plastic glue gun with Hot Melt Glue Sticks has long shelf life. Little or no environmental precautions are needed for disposal. Also, it wiill cause no volatile organic compounds and can reach the effect of rapid drying and curing. It has no loss of thickness during curing, so applicators are simple and low-cost. It can accepts color additives to match the materials being bonded. Depending on the specific formulation, hot glue can set quickly or the set time can be extended to allow exact positioning of parts when assembled. Glues with reactive agents allow additional curing and bond strength through the use of moisture or UV radiation. Many hot glue formulas exceed the bonding strength of epoxy. ADHESIVE CONDITIONS UNSUITABLE FOR HOT GLUE Though other adhesives cannot match its versatility, hot glue is not the best solution for all bonding situations: The high melting temperature may damage delicate materials. Some formulas cannot withstand certain solvents. Take care to avoid burns from melted glue, which can rest at temperatures well above that of boiling water. However, glue application equipment puts the glue only where it is needed and the glue quickly cools, so attentive workmanship should be protection enough. In industry, workshops or the home, hot melt adhesives and commercial rubber adhesives provide the most versatile and convenient solution for most applications. For example, it is also widely used for Booster Cable and Car Dent Repair Kit. New polymers, formulations and specialized application equipment are still being produced, which guarantee that hot melt adhesive will continue to find new, innovative applications in the future.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.crownchampion.com/All cells require inorganic sulfate for normal function. Sulfate is among the most important macronutrients in cells and is the fourth most abundant anion in human plasma (300 μM). Sulfate is the major sulfur source in many organisms, and because it is a hydrophilic anion that cannot passively cross the lipid bilayer of cell membranes, all cells require a mechanism for sulfate influx and efflux to ensure an optimal supply of sulfate in the body. The class of proteins involved in moving sulfate into or out of cells is called sulfate transporters. And there are various of Sulfate may needed in our life, such as Potassium Sulphate, Magnesium Sulphate, Zinc Sulphate, Ammonium Sulphate, Manganese Sulphate, Ferrous Sulphate, Copper Sulphate, Diammonium Phosphate, Monoammonium Phosphate, Monopotassium Phosphate and so on. To date, numerous sulfate transporters have been identified in tissues and cells from many origins. These include the renal sulfate transporters NaSi-1 and sat-1, the ubiquitously expressed diastrophic dysplasia sulfate transporter DTDST, the intestinal sulfate transporter DRA that is linked to congenital chloride diarrhea, and the erythrocyte anion exchanger AE1. These transporters have only been isolated in the last 10–15 years, and their physiological roles and contributions to body sulfate homeostasis are just now beginning to be determined. This review focuses on the structural and functional properties of mammalian sulfate transporters and highlights some of regulatory mechanisms that control their expression in vivo, under normal physiological and pathophysiological states. Sulphate contributes to numerous processes in mammalian physiology, particularly during development. Sulphotransferases mediate the sulphate conjugation (sulphonation) of numerous compounds, including steroids, glycosaminoglycans, proteins, neurotransmitters and xenobiotics, transforming their biological activities. Importantly, the ratio of sulphonated to unconjugated molecules plays a significant physiological role in many of the molecular events that regulate mammalian growth and development. In humans, the fetus is unable to generate its own sulphate and therefore relies on sulphate being supplied from maternal circulation via the placenta. To meet the gestational needs of the growing fetus, maternal blood sulphate concentrations double from mid-gestation. Maternal hyposulphataemia has been linked to fetal sulphate deficiency and late gestational fetal loss in mice. Disorders of sulphonation have also been linked to a number of developmental disorders in humans, including skeletal dysplasias and premature adrenarche. While recognised as an important nutrient in mammalian physiology, sulphate is largely unappreciated in clinical settings. In part, this may be due to technical challenges in measuring sulphate with standard pathology equipment and hence the limited findings of perturbed sulphate homoeostasis affecting human health. The sulfate ion in clinical medicine has been regarded as an end metabolite of cysteine and methionine, both sulfur-containing amino acids. Sulfate has been associated with an increase in body acidity and has been shown to lead to a drop in fluid osmolarity of body fluids. Despite the fact that sulfate itself does not possess a catalytic function or a role in human energy metabolism, there is outstanding evidence to suggest that sulfate is not a metabolically inert molecule and that it plays a key function in life. The Sulfate Ion, Sulfate Formation, and Homeostasis The sulfate ion is the oxidized form of the 16th element of the Periodic Table, sulfur (S6+), which is surrounded tetrahedrally by four oxygen molecules (O2?) forming the divalent anion SO2?4. In nature, sulfate is an inorganic molecule belonging to the group VI oxyanions, which includes other structurally similar members such as selenate, molybdate, tungstate, and chromate. It is an important anion involved in many physiological processes, having numerous biosynthetic and pharmacological functions. Sulfate is involved in a variety of activation and detoxification processes of many endogenous (including glycosaminoglycans, cerebrosides, steroids, catecholamines) and exogenous (acetaminophen, isoproterenol, ibuprofen, salicylate, α-methyldopa) compounds.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.antenkconnector.com/DIN 41612 was a DIN standard for electrical connectors that are widely used in rack based electrical systems. Standardisation of the connectors is a pre-requisite for open systems, where users expect components from different suppliers to operate together. The most widely known use of DIN 41612 connectors is in the VMEbus and NuBus systems. The standard has withdrawn in favor of international standards IEC 60603-2 and EN 60603-2. DIN 41612 connectors are used in Pancon, STEbus, Futurebus, VMEbus, Multibus II, NuBus, VXI Bus, eurocard TRAM motherboards, and Europe Card Bus, all of which typically use male DIN 41612 connectors on Eurocards plugged into female DIN 41612 on the backplane in a 19-inch rack chassis. The standard describes connectors which may have one, two or three rows of contacts, which are labelled as rows a, b and c. Two row connectors may use rows a+b or rows a+c. The connectors may have 16 or 32 columns, which means that the possible permutations allow 16, 32, 48, 64 or 96 contacts. The rows and columns are on a 0.1 inch (2.54 mm) grid pitch. Insertion and removal force are controlled, and three durability grades are available. Often the female DIN 41612 connectors have press fit contacts rather than solder pin contacts, to avoid thermal shock to the backplane. A battery holder is one or more compartments or chambers for holding a battery. For dry cells, the holder must also make electrical contact with the battery terminals. For wet cells, cables are often connected to the battery terminals, as is found in automobiles or emergency lighting equipment. A battery holder is either a plastic case with the shape of the housing moulded as a compartment or compartments that accepts a battery or batteries, or a separate plastic holder that is mounted with screws, eyelets, glue, double-sided tape, or other means. Battery holders may have a lid to retain and protect the batteries or may be sealed to prevent damage to circuitry and components from battery leakage. Coiled spring wire or flat tabs that press against the battery terminals are the two most common methods of making the electrical connection inside a holder. External connections on battery holders are usually made by contacts with pins, surface mount feet, solder lugs, or wire leads. Where the battery is expected to last over the life of the product, no holder is necessary, and a tab welded to the battery terminals can be directly soldered to a printed circuit board. A pin header (or simply header) is a form of electrical connector. A male pin header consists of one or more rows of metal pins molded into a plastic base, often 2.54 mm (0.1 in) apart, though available in many spacings. Male pin headers are cost-effective due to their simplicity. The female counterparts are sometimes known as female socket headers, though there are numerous naming variations of male and female connectors. Historically, headers have sometimes been called \"Berg connectors\", but headers are manufactured by many companies. A SCSI connector is used to connect computer parts that use a system called SCSI to communicate with each other. Generally, two connectors, designated male and female, plug together to form a connection which allows two components, such as a computer and a disk drive, to communicate with each other. SCSI connectors can be electrical connectors or optical connectors. There have been a large variety of SCSI connectors in use at one time or another in the computer industry. Twenty-five years of evolution and three major revisions of the standards resulted in requirements for Parallel SCSI connectors that could handle an 8, 16 or 32 bit wide bus running at 5, 10 or 20 megatransfer/s, with conventional or differential signaling. Serial SCSI added another three transport types, each with one or more connector types. Manufacturers have frequently chosen connectors based on factors of size, cost, or convenience at the expense of compatibility. A card edge connector is the portion of a printed circuit board (PCB) consisting of traces leading to the edge of the board that are intended to plug into a matching socket. The edge connector is a money-saving device because it only requires a single discrete female connector (the male connector is formed out of the edge of the PCB), and they also tend to be fairly robust and durable. They are commonly used in computers for expansion slots for peripheral cards, such as PCI, PCI Express, and AGP cards. Terminal block is an accessory product used to realize electrical connection, which is divided into the category of connector in industry. With the increasing degree of industrial automation and the stricter and more precise requirements of industrial control, the amount of terminal blocks is gradually increasing. With the development of the electronics industry, the use of terminal blocks is increasing, and there are more and more types. In addition to PCB board terminals, the most widely used ones are hardware terminals, nut terminals, spring terminals and so on. The terminal is used to facilitate the connection of wires. It is actually a piece of metal enclosed in insulating plastic. There are holes at both ends to insert wires. There are screws for fastening or loosening, such as two wires, sometimes Need to connect, sometimes need to be disconnected, then you can use the terminal to connect them, and can be disconnected at any time, without having to solder or twist them together, very convenient and fast. And it is suitable for a large number of wire interconnections. In the power industry, there are special terminal blocks and terminal boxes, all of which are terminal blocks, single-layer, double-layer, current, voltage, common, breakable and so on. A certain crimping area is to ensure reliable contact and to ensure that enough current can pass. A circular connector is a type of connector whose basic structure is cylindrical and has a circular mating surface. In the interconnection classification, it belongs to category 5 and is used for interconnection between devices. Broadly speaking, it includes low-frequency circular connectors, RF coaxial connectors and audio connectors. The cylindrical structure of the circular connector is inherently robust and provides greater strength than any other shape. Automotive connectors are a component that electronic engineering technicians often touch. Its function is very simple: it sets up a bridge of communication between the blocked or isolated circuits in the circuit, so that the current flows and the circuit realizes the predetermined function. The form and structure of automotive connectors are ever-changing. They are mainly composed of four basic structural components, namely: contacts, shells (depending on the variety), insulators, and accessories. In the industry, it is usually also called sheath, connector, plastic shell. Board-to-board connectors are the connector products with the strongest transmission capacity among all connector product types, mainly used in power systems, communication networks, financial manufacturing, elevators, industrial automation, medical equipment, office equipment, home appliances, military manufacturing and other industries . An IC socket is an integrated circuit socket mounted on a circuit board, characterized by a plurality of electrical contacts arranged in a plurality of cavities. An integrated circuit socket includes an insulating shell, and the insulating shell has an integrated circuit package accommodating groove in which the integrated circuit package is accommodated. The contacts are embedded in cavities arranged in a matrix arrangement in the accommodating grooves of the integrated circuit package.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.zjelecindustry.com/Buying an Adjustable Dumbbell Set - What to Look for Buying an Adjustable Dumbbell Set - What to Look for Dumbbells are an excellent piece of equipment to buy for a home gym of any size. As you can probably tell from our large video library of exercise videos, we are big fans of bodyweight exercises. You really don\'t need a gym in order to get fit, but there are a few very simple and inexpensive tools that infinitely increase the number of exercises you can do and the muscle groups that you can hit. Dumbbells are definitely one of those essential pieces of equipment. In fact, if you were only going to buy one or two things, dumbbells would be one of 2 (including an exercise mat and maybe a physioball) near necessities that I would recommend purchasing. One popular option available for this particular fundamental fitness device is the adjustable dumbbell variety. When you buy an adjustable dumbbell set you significantly reduce the amount of necessary storage. This can be especially helpful if you don\'t have an entire room dedicated to your home gym; these can usually be tucked away or stored in a closet without taking up too much extra space. This version also typically ends up costing you less than buying a full set of individual, fixed weights. With all the different purchasing options out there, you want to make sure that you get the highest quality adjustable kettlebells that with withstand many years of use. Here are what features to look for in terms of quality, durability, and function when you\'re shopping around for this product. Look for an adjustable dumbbell set that has plates that are easy to switch out Because you won\'t be able to just grab a weight and jump into an exercise, you want to make sure that the set that you choose is one that allows you to switch plate weights out quickly and without a lot of fuss. You don\'t want to cut into your workout time or let your heart rate slow and muscles get cold in between sets while you change the mass that you\'re lifting. Research to ensure that the plates are held on in a method that is durable and not going to wear down after six months of use. Read the reviews of the particular adjustable dumbbells that you are looking at buying Look for all of the features you would normally look for in a handweight; durability, a comfortable grip, your desired thickness of the handles, and an enduring, non offensive coating. Make sure that the size and length of the overall apparatus is going to work for the exercises that you most commonly make a part of your routine. It doesn\'t matter if you save money on this purchase if you don\'t end up actually utilizing them because they aren\'t user-friendly! Buy a set that encompasses the both minimums and maximums that you need for your specific workouts Make sure that the adjustable dumbbell set you buy covers both the lightest and heaviest weights that you need for your exercise program. It doesn\'t hurt to even think ahead a bit in terms of strength gains; it would be very disappointing to buy the weights and then quickly outgrow them. Also pay attention to the increments of the weights. Consider whether you will need half pound increments or not. Contemplate before making any purchase what you will be using them for; heavy lifting, strength gains, light toning, etc. This will help you decipher which end of the lb spectrum you need to be on in terms of the ranges of heaviness. Make sure that the set has plates that wont slide If an adjustable dumbbell doesn\'t have a proper securing mechanism, the plates might end up being lose on either side and this would cause a “clanking” that could end up both pinching you (rare) or being just plain annoying. Make sure that there is a securing agent that holds the weights securely in place, and then that there is also a bumper of some kind or another that goes in between the plates and the fastener to allow for very little wiggle room. Choose a set that stores away efficiently This is one of the least important factors to consider while you\'re shopping around but considering that the saving of space is one of the perks of this type of weight, it\'s worth considering. Make sure that the adjustable dumbbells come in a case that allows you to quickly and ergonomically store away your mini home gym. Why the Rowing Machine Deserves Your Attention Whether you\'re getting to know the lay of the land in your local gym, or you\'re considering a new fitness machine for your home, it\'s time you got to know the indoor rower, also known as the ergometer or rowing machine. While it may look intimidating at first, it\'s actually more beginner-friendly than you might think—and it provides one hell of a workout. All the deets, here. What Is the Rowing Machine? The ergometer is essentially mimicking the rowing of a shell (aka boat), like those you see in the Olympics, according to Evan Tyrrell, owner of F45 Training in La Jolla, CA. \"The rowing machine is like the Swiss Army knife of the gym,\" says professional rower Michelle Sosa, a Hydrow athlete. \"Its multiple purposes include low-impact workouts, high-intensity sprint intervals, low-intensity endurance development, full-body strength training, core training, heart health, and posture control.\" Swiss Army knife is right—the rower seemingly does it all. How Do You Use a Rowing Machine? The motion you use in a rowing exercise is not always intuitive, but it\'s actually pretty simple once you dial it in. Here\'s a handy way to remember how to row: legs, core, arms (on the way out) and arms, core, legs (on the way in). Meaning, when you start from the bottom of a stroke (in the catch position), you should extend your legs, hinge your core, then use your arms to row the handle toward your chest. Then you reverse it to go back to the beginning: Extend your arms, let your core hinge forward, then bend your legs. (You can repeat it in your head as a sort of mantra while you\'re rowing: Legs, core, arms, arms, core, legs.) A lot of the power actually comes from the legs, but you need to keep your core tight while you push back and eventually pull the handles with your hands/arms. Sosa notes that the biggest misconception about rowing is that it\'s an upper-body-only exercise. \"The bulk of your rowing stroke is accomplished by the legs and core,\" says Sosa. (See: Rowing Machine Mistakes You\'re Probably Making) \"Rowing is about 60-percent legs, 30-percent core, and 10-percent arms,\" says Joseph Illustrisimo, creator of Let\'s Dryft in San Francisco (a workout that\'s half on the rower, half strength training—think Barry\'s with rowers instead of treadmills). \"Most of rowing will be working out your hamstrings and booty, but only if you are hinging properly. It should feel like a deadlift. There\'s also a large amount of core activation. Your core should be engaged the whole time, so you should learn how to dynamically engage those abs and you should feel a burn throughout.\" You can ask a trainer at your gym to show you, or opt for an at-home program with instructional videos. Hyrdow is like the Peloton of rowing machines, so if you\'re in the market for a home gym addition, this would be a useful way to get some live instruction on how to use a rower. \"The instruction piece is critical for beginners to ensure you\'re maximizing your efforts and doing it safely and correctly,\" says Sosa. If you want to try a class that incorporates rowing, you ca try CityRow in New York City, Let\'s Dryft in San Francisco, F45 Training in multiple locations, and Orangetheory Fitness (in certain locations). These all offer workouts that incorporate the rowing machine into their classes. This would give you more IRL intel on how to properly use the rowing machine and how to vary your workouts to keep things interesting. Rowing Machine Benefits Let\'s break down what you actually get out of using the rowing machine. What are some of the benefits of using a rower, and why would you want to hop on one at your gym? Burn a lot of calories. Because the rower offers a combo of strength and cardio training, Tyrrell says it\'s a \"super-efficient way to burn calories.\" Depending on your body weight and how vigorously you\'re rowing, you could burn between 400 and 500 calories an hour on the rowing machine. Improve your aerobic fitness. Tyrrell noted that rowing for even just 15 minutes is \"a serious aerobic workout.\" Rowing regularly can help increase your stamina and endurance while improving your overall cardiovascular health. Get a full-body workout. You\'ll truly get a full-body workout with a rowing machine. Get this—this machine uses 86 percent (!!) of the muscles in your body. (Just smile a lot during your workout and you might use 100?) Improve lower-body conditioning. Because you use your leg muscles so much in this workout (contrary to how it might seem, they\'re doing a majoring of the work in rowing), he noted that targeted lower-body conditioning—building strength and endurance—is among the top benefits. Strong stems, here you come. Work out with less injury risk. You have a lower injury risk on a rower machine because it\'s low-impact, says Tyrrell. Plus, because it\'s of this, you can work at a high intensity without as much wear-and-tear on your joints. \"Higher-intensity exercises like plyometrics and sprinting can sometimes be hard on the body, but low-impact tools like rowing machines and bicycles are great for the body,\" says Illustrisimo. \"You also have many variables to change in your workouts like resistance, pace, and distance.\" Build better posture. \"Since the rowing machine primarily uses your legs, core, and back, it has loads of postural benefits, and is a great tool to engage the posterior chain [backside] of the body,\" says Illustrisimo. Working your posterior chain is super important for balancing our muscle strength, reducing injury risk, and helping correct the bad posture that\'s common in our sedentary society. Keep your workout beginner-friendly. One of the additional benefits is that it\'s easy for beginners to try, says Sosa. \"You see and feel results quickly, which is great for beginners,\" says Sosa. But you have to stick with it for more than just a few minutes to make this happen. \"Gym goers tend to hop on and off a rower within five minutes due to boredom or confusion, foregoing those results,\" she explains. Stick it out for 10 to 20 minutes to see an improvement in your form and work long enough to get your heart pumping. If you don\'t know the rules, you could end up feeling cheated instead of happy with your decision. Learn how to buy a treadmill wisely with these simple tips and tricks. 1. CHOOSE YOUR WORKOUT SPACE AND TREADMILL SIZE How much room can you offer a treadmill in your home, and where are you going to put it? To save time before shopping, measure the floor space you plan to put your treadmill on. If you\'re considering a folding treadmill, also measure any space (L x W x H) you have to spare for storage. Treadmill dimensions are usually published, and keeping this information handy makes you a more efficient shopper. Keep in mind that the required running space, which you can work out via the treadmill belt size, can also impact the overall footprint of the treadmill. We recommend a 22″ wide belt for runners and 20″ for walkers. Although a 20″ belt is sufficient for runners, it just leaves a little less room for error. 2. IMAGINE YOUR TREADMILL WORKOUTS Do you envision relaxing walks, intense running or something in between? Answering this question will help you narrow down your treadmill selection by motor power. The heavier the exercise you anticipate, the higher powered motor you will need. We will take a look at motor power in more detail in the second section of this guide. Your answer to the above question can also help you choose the track size for your workout needs. Walkers can save money by choosing shorter treadmill tracks and runners (especially tall runners) will need more room to stretch out.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.yiwu-buying.comMinimalist Kitchen Equipment List: Everything You Need When I moved into my first apartment after college, my mom and I made one epic trip to Ikea to pick up life essentials. I\'m talking about a bed frame, a night stand, some shelves, and of course, kitchen equipment. And man, do I wish I had a kitchen equipment list like this when we did our major equipment haul! Kitchen stuff is something you don\'t really start to accumulate until you\'ve graduated college. Up until then, you\'re probably using what you brought from home and your college roommate\'s pots and pans. When you\'re finally on your own, though, you have to start somewhere, but even the most basic list of kitchen essentials is still dauntingly long. To start, here\'s a quick kitchen equipment list that will help you get started: Cutlery (knives, forks, spoons) A few glasses/cups A few plates (we currently only have 6 plates for 2 people) One eight-inch chef’s knife (more on that later) A medium-sized pot and 10-inch pan A spatula A large stirring spoon Oven mitts A glass baking dish A metal baking sheet A colander A can opener You can do a lot with just that kitchen equipment list, but most people tend to accumulate more than the bare minimum of equipment over time. This is what I want you to avoid! After all, it\'s hard not to when there are a plethora of random kitchen tools just a click away, and they\'re all pretty tempting. Have you been inside a Williams-Sonoma? Just the sight of all the pasta machines and coffee accessories will have you dreaming of becoming that person that makes lattes and pasta from scratch. But, if we\'re being honest, you probably won\'t. Because, despite my best intentions, I\'ve only used my milk frother twice in the last 2 years. Kitchen Gadgets One of the earliest recorded uses of the term \"gadget\" was in 1886 as a nautical term referring to a small, somewhat specialized contrivance. It is unclear when the term first entered kitchen parlance, but the Oxford English Dictionary records the earliest use of the expression \"kitchen gadget\" as 1951 in the Good Housekeeping Home Encyclopedia, which remarked that kitchen gadgets are often discarded because it takes too much time to clean them. A popular contemporary taxonomy of kitchen technology must account for the essential ambiguity of the term. Terms like \"gadget,\" \"utensil,\" \"accoutrement,\" \"tool,\" and \"appliance\" overlap. A kitchen gadget may be a specialized artifact used for the preparation of a single kind of dish or for performing one specific function across a variety of dishes. As such, it can be distinguished if only in a general sense from the broader term \"kitchen utensil,\" which would include multipurpose and essential kitchen equipment, such as chefs\' knives and large appliances like ovens and refrigerators. In modern usage the term \"kitchen gadget\" also may be pejorative. It is often used to refer to novelty items, gimmicky and cheap kitchen equipment that purports to ease the burdens of homemakers. As the usage in the Good Housekeeping Home Encyclopedia indicated, gadgets may be the kinds of products that accumulate in the back of kitchen drawers until they are discarded. Another aspect of the gadget is its symbolic character. Gadgets may be displayed as items that represent taste, newness, or status. Although the term \"gadget\" originated in the late Victorian era, it is often used retroactively to refer to pre-Victorian forms of specialized kitchen equipment. Providing an account of early kitchen tools is difficult as such items rarely made their way onto household inventories. It is well established that, apart from the kitchens of the aristocracy, pre-Victorian cookery, at least in the British Isles, was almost entirely a matter of boiling in a pot, cauldron, or kettle; baking in an oven or on a bake stone; and roasting on a spit. A number of devices were designed to assist the pre-Victorian cook with each of these kitchen tasks. Are Pet Supplies A Good Niche For Drop Shipping? Of course, instead of buying outright, you can always lease beauty salon equipment, so look at what suits your budget best. 1. Salon Facial Machines Salon Facial machines are important for a skilled treatment of the esthetics. Without a simple steamer or mag lamp, esthetic rooms wouldn\'t be full but can be improved with single or multifunction systems. Below are five basic resources that every aesthetician requires on his face computer. Facial Steamer A facial steamer is considered one of the most valuable devices for every salon as it performs several critical tasks on clients and patients. Used mainly to help moisturize and cleanse the skin, it may also use steam to widen the pores of the skin, allowing increased blood circulation across the face and other body parts. Facial Vaporizer A facial vaporizer, similar to a facial steamer, also combines steam and ozone to revitalize a person\'s face and other areas of the body. But along with this, the aromatherapy therapies also use a facial vaporizer. A vaporizer is particularly popular in day spas and can use aromatherapy to help a person not only get revitalized skin but also relax and get rid of the stresses they have experienced in their lives. Ice Roller While many patients and clients use facial vaporizers and steamers well, many others often turn to ice rollers to help them achieve their desired results. An ice roller is mainly used to treat acne, reduce redness of the skin, to reduce lines and wrinkles, to relax the skin, and to relieve muscle pain. Ultrasonic Skin Scrubber An ultrasonic skin scrubber is an essential tool for any aesthetician\'s facial machine becoming more popular with customers at day spas who want extensive facials. The ultrasonic skin scrubber is also commonly used on patients who have undergone facelifts, ideal for clients who want deep cleaning, and full penetration of serums and moisturizers. Skin Scanner Just looking at the mirror, we do not get many ideas about the skin problems faced by us. For the same reason, a special machine is needed. A skin scanner is often required to fully understand what\'s happening to their skin. Used by most estheticians to conduct an initial examination of a person\'s skin condition, a skin scanner relies on blacklight blue lamp technology to penetrate under the skin\'s outer surface, exposing various conditions using fluorescent colors. By using this tool, aestheticians can detect conditions such as sun exposure below the skin\'s surface, obstructed pores, poor circulation, dehydrated skin, and much more. 2. Beauty Beds Beauty Beds form an essential part of the experience of beauty and spa. Buying premium beauty beds and beauty sofas that will keep you and your clients happy. Beauty beds provide a great way of relaxation and comfort to customers. As clients need support while receiving facial treatment, a comfortable and soft bed for facial massage is the crucial way to give their customers such feeling. The Beauty bed is also used for waxing. Most salon beds and couches are made from PVC or vinyl. This has the advantage that they are easy to clean. Some well-known brands for Beauty bed are Lotus, REM, Affinity, and many more, etc님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.yutloo.com/Solar LED Street Light: Why Is It So Popular? The LED technology has significantly made the street lights more eco-friendly by reducing the amount of energy consumption. However, most of the existing street lights often face the problem of energy shortages. We can end this dependency on conventional sources of energy to power the street lights by harnessing the sun\'s power. Solar LED Street Lights are popular because they are designed to produce light 90% more efficiently than any other street light. The LED technology converts almost 95% of the energy into light. On the contrary, incandescent street light bulbs convert only 10% of the energy into light while 90% is wasted as heat. In addition to its efficiency, governments around the world are promoting the use of solar energy and LED technology to reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on the availability of energy. How Does Solar Street Light Work? Solar street lights are never at the risk of running out of power because they’re based on the most abundant and perpetual source of energy in the world-the sun. They are designed to be compact and self-sufficient in terms of their power source. The solar panel captures the daylight energy and store it in the battery unit, which powers the street light as required when it is dark. Today, most solar-powered street lights systems are controlled by sensors. To maximize the efficiency of solar street light, we have to consider optimizing its components to reduce costs and overall energy usage. The solution is to use energy-efficient technology like LED Street Lights. How Do I Choose The Best Solar Street Light? The outdoor solar street lights come in different shapes, sizes, and capacities. There are many alternatives available in the solar LED street light market. Before you decide on the best solar street light, you should consider it in terms of quality, features, design, power consumption, durability, and the most important, customer service. The choice of a solar street light depends on the place and purpose of its application. The solar street lights requirements for household use are maybe quite different from that of businesses and communities. We have gone through several brands and products of solar LED street lights to help you with your decision. The following section includes the 10 best LED solar street lights that we picked and tested, along with their ranking and reviews. Advantages and Disadvantages of Using LED Street Lights Now in cities, street lights can be seen everywhere, and they provide convenience and safety for our life every day. After a long period of development, LED lights are now mostly used in street lights. Compared with high-pressure sodium lamps, the use of LED street light has more benefits. 1.It is a unidirectional light source, without light diffusion, ensuring light efficiency. 2.The LED street light has a unique secondary optical design, which irradiates the light of the lamp to the area that needs to be illuminated, while this further improves the light efficiency to achieve the purpose of energy saving. 3.The luminous efficiency of LED has reached 110-130lm/W, and there is still a lot of space for development, with a theoretical value of 360lm/W. The luminous efficiency of high-pressure sodium lamps increases with the increase of power. Therefore, the overall luminous efficiency of LED street lights is stronger than that of high-pressure sodium lamps. 4. The color rendering of LED street lights is much higher than the high pressure sodium lamps. The color rendering index of high pressure sodium lamps is only about 23, while the color rendering index of LED street lights is above 75. From the perspective of visual psychology, to achieve the same brightness, LED light is more than 20% lower than high pressure sodium lamp. 5. The light decay of LED light is small, it is less than 3% in a year, and it still meets the road requirements after 10 years of use, while the high-pressure sodium lamp has a large decay, which has dropped by more than 30% in about a year. Therefore, the design of the power of the LED street light can be lower than high-pressure sodium lamps. 6. The LED street light has an automatic control energy-saving device, which can achieve the greatest possible reduction in power and energy saving under the condition of meeting the lighting requirements at different times. It can realize computer dimming, time period control, light control, temperature control, automatic inspection and other humanized functions. 7. It can be used for more than 50,000 hours and provides three-year quality assurance. But the disadvantage is that the battery life cannot be guaranteed. 8.Using chips ≥100LM, LED street light can save more than 75% of energy compared with traditional high pressure sodium lamps. 9. It′s easy to install, no need to add buried cables, no rectifiers, etc., directly connect to the light pole or nest the light source into the original lampshade. 10. Excellent heat dissipation control: The temperature in summer is controlled below 45 degrees, and passive heat dissipation is adopted, and the heat dissipation in summer is insufficient. 11. Reliable quality: All circuit power supplies use high-quality components, and each LED has individual overcurrent protection, so there is no need to worry about the damage. 12. Uniform light color: No lens is added, and uniform light color is not sacrificed to improve brightness, so as to ensure uniform light color without aperture. 13. LED does not contain harmful metal mercury, and will not cause harm to the environment when it is scrapped. Types of indoor lighting After thousands of years of living with very natural forms of lighting such as moonlight, campfires and candles a massive change came in the late nineteen century. Along came Edison with his incandescent light bulb and DC electricity, and a few years later Tesla with his Alternating Current (AC) electricity. In the 1940s, fluorescent lighting took off and in the 1960s came LED lights in various colours. The white bright light LEDs are a much more recent invention, really only coming into play from 2010. This brings us to the two main types of indoor lighting when it comes to the quality of light: thermal lights and non-thermal lights. Thermal lights are made from heat. With non-thermal lighting, heat isn’t used but other technologies. Thermal lights include incandescent (that is, old school light bulbs and halogens) whereas non-thermal lights include LED and fluorescent (or any type of energy saving lights, otherwise known as CFLs). Incandescent light bulbs and halogens are therefore more akin to daylight. Not only because the light is a product of heat but the spectrum of light is also fairly similar to natural light. There are no severe peaks and troughs, the spectrum is gradual and it’s also full of colours. They primarily give off light in the yellow, orange, red, and infrared spectrum. LED Light Bulbs Lighting has become something that\'s easy to take for granted until a bulb goes out. When that time comes, the number of choices available is higher than it\'s ever been. When shopping for light bulbs, you can sidestep the bans and continue using incandescent bulbs, despite their limited lifespan, so that you don\'t have to give up the familiar glow you’re used to. Some have taken the first step to using energy-efficient lighting use compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs. Compared to incandescent bulbs, CFL bulbs seemed like a great upgrade. However, the reduced power consumption and heat output came with two drawbacks. Many compact fluorescent light bulbs don\'t achieve full brightness immediately or work well with dimmers. This has made it difficult for some to replace their incandescent lights until they could upgrade without these compromises; this is where LED lighting comes into play. When compared to incandescent and CFL bulbs, LEDs generate the same amount of light while using a fraction of the energy. LED bulbs turn on instantly to full brightness and last far longer. What Is A Solar Panel? Solar energy begins with the sun. Solar panels (also known as \"PV panels\") are used to convert light from the sun, which is composed of particles of energy called \"photons\", into electricity that can be used to power electrical loads. Solar panels can be used for a wide variety of applications including remote power systems for cabins, telecommunications equipment, remote sensing, and of course for the production of electricity by residential and commercial solar electric systems. Using solar panels is a very practical way to produce electricity for many applications. The obvious would have to be off-grid living. Living off-grid means living in a location that is not serviced by the main electric utility grid. Remote homes and cabins benefit nicely from solar power systems. No longer is it necessary to pay huge fees for the installation of electric utility poles and cabling from the nearest main grid access point. A solar electric system is potentially less expensive and can provide power for upwards of three decades if properly maintained. Besides the fact that solar panels make it possible to live off-grid, perhaps the greatest benefit that you would enjoy from the use of solar power is that it is both a clean and a renewable source of energy. With the advent of global climate change, it has become more important that we do whatever we can to reduce the pressure on our atmosphere from the emission of greenhouse gases. Solar panels have no moving parts and require little maintenance. They are ruggedly built and last for decades when porperly maintained. Last, but not least, of the benefits of solar panels and solar power is that, once a system has paid for its initial installation costs, the electricity it produces for the remainder of the system\'s lifespan, which could be as much as 15-20 years depending on the quality of the system, is absolutely free! For grid-tie solar power system owners, the benefits begin from the moment the system comes online, potentially eliminating monthy electric bills or, and this is the best part, actually earning the system\'s owner additional income from the electric company. How? If you use less power than your solar electric system produces, that excess power can be sold, sometimes at a premium, to your electric utility company! There are many other applications and benefits of using solar panels to generate your electricity needs - too many to list here. But as you browse our website, you\'ll gain a good general knowledge of just how versatile and convenient solar power can be.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.juanawood.com/The Use of Plywood in Construction Plywood has become one of the most popular building materials, thanks to its useful properties such as ability to withstand moisture and high strength. Despite being robust and versatile, plywood remains affordable and durable for small businesses. A quick glance at the different types of plywood will reveal their importance. From kitchen cabinets, floorings, and walls to furniture: the entire construction industry revolves around plywood. The use of plywood will only continue to increase as the global market grows because of lack of affordable and reliable alternatives. Use of Plywood in Construction Engineering The most prominent use of plywood is in structural applications. Plywood can naturally withstand a lot of stress and full weather exposure. Structural plywood is best used for beams and hoardings, but it is commonly used in crates, bins, internal structures, outdoor furniture, and boxes. Structural plywood is used for wall and roof bracing. There are several plywood grades in the market, the most common and popular being A-grade which can take some serious beating. It is not uncommon for highly durable boards to withstand continuous boiling without delaminating. However, there is marine plywood which is made with glues that are completely weatherproof and boilproof. It is also common to use B-bond grade structural plywood. This obviously comes at the cost of durability, but the material is sturdy enough for use in exterior door skins and concrete formwork. There’s also C-grade plywood, which is un-sanded and likely to have several minor defects that will need to be repaired. C-plywood is used in cases where appearance and durability aren’t that important, such as subfloors and garages. At the very low-end of the spectrum is D-grade plywood, which is un-sanded and guaranteed to have defects that haven’t been repaired. D-grade plywood is identifiable by obvious discoloration and sanding defects. It is common for manufacturers to pair up different grades of plywood to save on costs. The most popular example is BC-grade, which is a mix of B-grade plywood on one side and C-grade on the other side. i) Exterior Plywood As the name suggests, exterior plywood is used outside the house in items that require some serious durability. This type of plywood is bound together using water-resistant glue that doesn’t wear off easily. Some of the most suitable applications for exterior plywood are walls, roof linings, stables, and even outdoor floorings. ii) Interior Plywood In this type of construction, aesthetics and appearance take priority. This is because the foundation of the walls and roofs are already laid out, requiring minor aesthetic touch-ups. Interior plywood is not very resistant against outdoor elements and tends to degrade quickly when exposed to moisture and heat. Some of the popular applications for interior plywood include indoor furniture, interior cladding, and ceilings. What are Commercial Plywood – It\'s Types and Sizes Plywood is considered to be the cheapest and the best alternative to wood for making furniture, cabinets, paneling and even in industrial applications. It is because plywood is strong and impact resistant to a certain extent and it is available in easily workable sheet form when compared to wood. Enquire Now for Plywood What is commercial plywood? There are different grades of plywood. The commercial plywood is the standard plywood that you can access in any hardware store when you ask for plywood. The commercial plywood is usually a grade of plywood that is quite cheap because it is manufacturer out of veneers or slices of woods called the ply which is glued or bonded together under high pressure. The commercial plywood is also termed MR plywood where MR denotes moisture resistant. This means that the plywood can withstand a fair amount of dampness, humidity, and moisture. The commercial plywoods are made with different types of veneers that are popular in a particular geographical location. You have commercial plywood made of Rubber veneers in the south whereas, you have veneers made of eucalyptus in some other place. Locate: Plywood Suppliers and Manufacturers in India On the basis of manufacturing of commercial plywood, you do have a commercial plywood type called the Alternate commercial plywood. This refers to the type of plywood that is manufactured using two different species of veneer. For example, Fir and Eucalyptus veneers or any other such combination can be used to make commercial plywoods. Enquire Now for Commercial Plywood Related Post: What is plywood & it\'s types Types of Commercial Plywoods The types of commercial plywoods include Types based on the veneer of wood used. Hardwood plywood- This refers to the plywood that is manufactured by bonding together veneers from hardwood. Softwood plywood- This refers to the use of veneers of softwoods or softwood chips that are glued together that are then heat pressed in the manufacturing of softwood plywood. What is fancy plywood? Fancy plywood, also known as decorative plywood, fancy board, composite decorative board, is made of plywood, fiberboard or particleboard as the base material, and is made of precious tree species, cut veneer and imported matt paper of various colors. It is usually decorated with beautiful hardwood veneers such as red oak, ash, white oak, birch, maple, teak, saponin, cherry, beech, walnut and more. In Morocco, fancy plywood plays a prominent role in woodworking, cabinet making and interior design. Fancy plywood uses a fine wood surface that combines the technical features of plywood to combine the beauty of fine wood at a more affordable price. It has the characteristics of realistic texture, uniform density, small thickness error, smooth surface, pollution resistance and aging resistance. It is suitable for indoor wall, cylinder, wall skirt, decorative surface decoration and furniture making. Fancy plywood is much more expensive than ordinary commercial plywood. In general, the price of fancy/back veneer (outer veneer) is 2~6 times that of ordinary hardwood/back veneer (such as red hardwood veneer, Okoume veneer, red Canarium veneer, poplar paste) Face, pine veneer, etc.). In order to save costs, most customers only require single-sided plywood to face fancy veneers, while the other plywood needs to face ordinary hardwood veneers. Fancy plywood features Fancy plywood is used where the appearance of the plywood is most important. Therefore, fancy veneers should have good-looking textures and become top-level (Grade A). Fancy plywood is flat and smooth. The fancy veneers can be plain slices, quarter slices or rotary cuts (eg, rotary cut fancy birch veneers). Usually, fancy wood is natural wood. However, artificial (artificial) fancy veneers (also known as engineered wood veneers) are also available. Artificial fancy veneers look similar to natural wood veneers but are much cheaper. The raw materials for fancy plywood should be much better. For example, the core of fancy plywood should be of high quality. Fancy plywood is widely used in furniture, cabinets, doors, and home decoration. Production Technology of polyester plywood Unsaturated polyester resin decorative plywood, also known as polyester board, is based on ordinary plywood, pasted with a layer of decorative board, and then coated with an unsaturated polyester paint on the paper surface after curing. The product is beautiful, bright in color, with a variety of fine patterns and high transparency, thick coating, high hardness and wear resistance, has a certain water resistance, resistance to a variety of chemicals and pollution resistance, therefore, it has been widely used. Its production process is roughly as follows: Plywood substrate coating decorative paper drying or hot pressing coating unsaturated polyester resin drying trimming grading inspection finished products. The plywood base material requires good quality, and the surface of the plywood should fully meet the decorative quality requirements. Real Wood vs MDF Real Wood Advantages Real wood has several benefits. It is strong and beautiful. Also it is quite durable. Because of its superior quality it offers the potential for many generations of hard use. But real wood tends to contract or expand when it is exposed to changes in temperature and humidity. If you fail to control heat or humidity, doors, window frames and paneling made from real wood can crack, shrink or buckle. Medium Density Fiberboard Advantages Medium density fiberboard (MDF) performs much better than real wood in at least some areas. It is a composite material of high quality. MDF is made from resin and recycled wood fibers. It is pressed to produce dense sheets that remain stable in all weather conditions. MDF can withstand changes in humidity and heat better than solid wood. Real wood tends to expand and contract when humidity and temperatures rise and fall. As a result, cabinets, doors and panels made from real wood require more maintenance and care. In areas such as bathrooms where humidity tends to be high, real wood is not suitable. If your bathroom has a high humidity, you should improve its ventilation, or consider using cabinets and vanities made from water resistant MDF products. MDF also tends to outperform solid wood in the making of painted cabinet doors. Also unlike real wood, it is available in larger 5 – foot by 12 – foot panels. An MDF panel does not have any visible grains on its surface. So when you use MDF, the problem of wood grain bleeding through paint does not arise. This can be an issue when you use real wood. Cost is another consideration. MDF is much cheaper than real wood. It is also readily available. When you use solid wood for your projects, you will need to purchase more because you have to eliminate pieces with knots and cracks. This problem does not arise when you use MDF. Also MDF is more economical in wainscoting and bead board paneling where large sheets are used. MDF is made up of a mixture of wax, wood solids and resin pressed together under high pressure and high temperature to produce a uniform wood like product. It is basically sawdust bonded together with glue. If you decide to use MDF for your projects, make sure that you choose varieties that do not contain formaldehyde which is known as a human carcinogen. Releasing tiny particles of MDF to the air during cutting or sanding should be avoided. Not all MDF products contain formaldehyde. You can easily find MDF products that qualify for ‘green\' home certifications like National Green Building Standard and LEED.님의 프로필 사진

To learn more about how to clean stainless steel jewelry, keep reading!! We\'ve got a lot of great tips on how to clean stainless steel rings, the best stainless steel jewelry cleaner, and how to clean stainless steel jewelry at home. For more information about how to clean other kinds of jewelry, check out our Complete Guide: How To Clean Jewelry. Pros and Cons of Stainless Steel Stainless steel is a well-known material used to make everything from cooking utensils to car parts. An alloy that mixes elements like chromium, titanium, and nickel, its silvery finish also makes it a popular commodity in jewelry design. Stainless steel not only mimics the look of fine, precious metal, but baubles made of this material are much more affordable. When it comes to rings, those made of stainless steel are a smart choice for everyday wear since they will be durable and strong. However, there are pros and cons to be considered before slipping that new ring onto your finger. ADVANTAGES Stainless steel is a highly durable metal, allowing it to withstand the wear and tear of everyday activities, which can otherwise damage a ring. The hard metal resists scratches and corrosion thanks to an invisible layer of chromium that prevents oxidation; this makes it a wonder metal of choice for body jewelry. Maintaining stainless steel jewelry is also a lot easier as you won\'t have to have special cleaning solution to care for your wholesale jewelry. Just use warm water, liquid soap, and a little bit of elbow grease and your stainless steel ring will be good as new. Because it is not a precious metal such as gold, silver or bronze, it\'s very affordable, making stainless steel pieces quite budget friendly. DRAWBACKS Despite its durability, stainless steel rings can dent. Compared with precious metals, only silver dents more than stainless steel. Sizing a stainless ring can be difficult because the metal is hard, rigid and stiff. This rigidity also makes it challenging for jewelers to set gemstones. Additionally, stainless steel can sometimes include nickel, which can be problematic if you have a nickel allergy. Although people with nickel allergies have successfully worn Oooh! Shiny Things jewelry without any issues, the severity of allergies differ from person to person so it is still advised to use caution when purchasing stainless steel and purchase at your own risk if you have a nickel allergy. Initial Necklaces for Each Letter in the Alphabet Initial necklaces are among the best baubles for personalizing a jewelry look. From delicate chains to bold pendants and glittering diamonds, there are endless options for customizing your neckline, whether your metal preference is white or yellow gold, silver, or so-modern rose gold. Of course, birthstone, charm, and astrological jewelry are other stylish personalized adornments. Yet, there\'s nothing quite like a metal-worked or diamond-encrusted A, B, or C to showcase your favorite letter or initials. Some of the most popular and easy-to-wear initial necklaces are dainty and often rendered in script, block, or gothic letters. At the same time, baguette stones, glittering pavé, and oversized letters amount to bolder initial jewelry moments. Of course, gemstones, pearls, and enamel touches make for a more striking lettered necklace too. When worn alone in all its glory, you\'ll glean more of a minimal look from an initial necklace. Or you can take things in a maximalist direction by combining several letters on the same chain or layering several to represent your first and last name, a favorite word, or the initials of loved ones. As a playful homage, why not don a strand with your pet\'s name, a favorite mantra, or a nickname? Whatever your preference—and we highly recommend owning an assortment—you can layer all types of initial necklaces beautifully, like with other chains, charms, and pendants. Don\'t forget, initial necklaces also make extraordinary gifts for birthdays, holidays, or to celebrate special events like a wedding (new last name, who this?) or the birth of a baby. From affordable jewelry finds to lust-worthy fine designs, scroll on for Vogue\'s edit of the very best initial necklaces representing each letter of the alphabet. What is a pendant in jewelry? Pendant, in jewelry, ornament suspended from a bracelet, earring, or, especially, a necklace. Pendants are derived from the primitive practice of wearing amulets or talismans around the neck. The practice dates from the Stone Age, when pendants consisted of such objects as teeth, stones, and shells. The pharaohs of ancient Egypt wore pendants that were sometimes of huge dimensions, usually bearing commemorative or auspicious scenes in which the sovereign is being deified. Other pendants were in the shape of flies, winged scarabs, vultures, the eye of the god Horus, falcons, and sacred serpents. An exquisite example of an early gold pendant is that of two hornets clasped together, found in Mycenae and dating from the 17th century BCE. Etruscan pendants were decorated with spindles and cylinders, figured, or in the shape of human heads. Greek and Hellenistic pendants usually formed the entire necklace. Pendants in the shape of a bulla are frequent in Roman necklaces, but there are also examples of cameos, intaglios, and gold coins mounted as pendants. During the Middle Ages, characteristic jewels were the reliquary, or devotional, pendant and the cross, chased or enamelled with religious subjects and often set in an architectural frame. One of the most famous early pendant reliquaries, which belonged to Charlemagne, contained relics of the True Cross and the crown of thorns under a sapphire set with gold. In the 14th century it was customary for noblemen to wear necklaces with pendants bearing heraldic subjects; pendants worn by women generally depicted sentimental subjects. Toward the beginning of the 16th century, pendants became decorative rather than religious objects. The Renaissance artists created numerous beautiful crosses and figured pendants modelled in high relief and depicting numerous subjects, such as mermaids, tritons, animals and ships, and mythological and religious scenes. Often, the irregular shapes of baroque pearls were exploited and adapted for the bodies of human beings or animals, whose faces and limbs were modelled in gold and enamelled. Should I buy a Zirconium ring? Pros and Cons As Jewelry Shopping Guide editors, we write about things that we love and we think you\'ll like too. We often have affiliate partnerships, and may generate some revenue from these links at no cost to you. Gone are the days when the only 3 viable materials for rings and wedding bands were just gold, silver, and platinum. Nowadays, with the advancement of modern technologies, the industry has harnessed and created many other great metallic and non-metallic materials that make for excellent wedding bands. And one of them is zirconium. This fascinating material has wide-ranging applications and is excellent in use for industrial purposes like nuclear reactors as well as in jewelry. Be careful not to confuse zirconium with zirconia, however, as the latter – also known as Cubic Zirconia – is a man-made material with very different characteristic. So, what exactly is zirconium and why should you consider it for your wedding band? What Is A Zirconium Wedding Band? Zirconium is a natural element that is usually derived by purifying other minerals such as zircon with chlorine. This means that zirconium isn\'t found in its “native form” but needs to go through an extraction process. Fortunately, the purifying process is inexpensive and allows for large quantities of zirconium to be produced at a very low price. After it gets produced in this manner, zirconium has a silver-ish or greyish color at first. However, it\'s typically heat treated and exposed afterward in order to oxidize the metal and give it a rich black color. This is one of the main draws of zirconium as most metals can only achieve such a black color through plating or antiquing which tends to fade over time. The black color of heat treated Zirconium, on the other hand, doesn\'t fade, doesn\'t tarnish, and doesn\'t change color – it\'s permanent. After going through this treatment, black zirconium gets a very nice feel as the oxidized top layer feels like ceramic while also being as hard as sapphire. The surface can be given various finishes, such as brushed, hammered or polished.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.genourpowergenerator.com/Diesel Engine Basics A diesel engine is an internal combustion engine that uses compression ignition to ignite the fuel as it is injected into the engine. DIESEL ENGINES VS. GASOLINE ENGINES It is helpful to an understanding of how diesel engines work to compare the differences between a diesel engine and a gasoline engine. The main differences between a gasoline engine and a diesel engine are: A gasoline engine takes a mixture of gas and air, compresses it, and ignites the mixture with a spark. A diesel engine takes air, compresses it, and then injects fuel into the compressed air. The heat of the compressed air ignites the fuel spontaneously. A diesel engine does not contain a spark plug. A gasoline engine compresses at a ratio of 8:1 to 12:1, while a diesel engine compresses at a ratio of 14:1 to as high as 25:1. The higher compression ratio of the diesel engine leads to better efficiency. Gasoline engines generally use either carburetion, in which the air and fuel are mixed long before the air enters the cylinder, or port fuel injection, in which the fuel is injected just prior to the intake stroke (outside the cylinder). In a gasoline engine, therefore, all of the fuel is loaded into the cylinder during the intake stroke and then compressed. The compression of the fuel/air mixture limits the compression ratio of the engine - if it compresses the air too much, the fuel/air mixture spontaneously ignites and causes knocking. Diesel engines use direct fuel injection i.e. diesel fuel is injected directly into the cylinder. A diesel engine compresses only air, so the compression ratio can be much higher. The higher the compression ratio, the more power generated. Diesel fuel injectors, unlike gasoline injectors, must be able to withstand the temperature and pressure inside the cylinder and still deliver the fuel in a fine mist. To ensure that the mist is evenly distributed throughout the cylinder, some diesel engines are equipped with special induction valves or pre-combustion chambers. Newer diesel engines are equipped with high-pressure common rail fuel systems. See Diesel Fuel System Basics for more information on this type of fuel system. Diesel engines may be equipped with a glow plug. When a diesel engine is cold, the compression process may not raise the air temperature high enough to ignite the fuel. The glow plug is an electrically heated wire that facilitates fuel ignition when the engine is cold. Glow plugs are typically found on small diesel engines. Gasoline engines do not require glow plugs as they do not rely on spontaneous combustion. Welder Generators: What You Need To Know Why have one when you can have two? A welder generator appeals to the value-seeker in every one of us. But it doesn’t stop there – with manufacturers packing even more tools into a generator unit, we can now get more bang for our buck than ever before. Here, we reveal what you need to know about these multi-tasking powerhouses… What is a Welder Generator? A welder generator creates power for welding without reliance on mains electricity. Simply fill up the fuel tank, just as you would for a regular generator, and the welder generator will power your welding equipment wherever you need it. As a result, welder generators have become essential equipment for constructions sites, farms, industry and more. Can I use a welder generator as a generator? Sure can! One of the biggest advantages of a welder generator is that it can be used as a stand-alone generator. This saves you space, money and hassle in running two separate machines. So when you aren’t using the machine for welding, you can use the generator power for work lights, emergency power or to run power tools. You can plug tools and appliances directly into its outlets as normal. What else can a welder generator do? Advances in manufacturing means you can now get 2-in-1, 3-in-1 and even 4-in-1 machines (known as ‘workstation generators’). Take the Crommelins 7kVA 3 in 1 workstation – it houses a welder, generator and battery charger in one powerful yet surprisingly compact unit. The welder generator delivers a maximum output of 5600 watts together with 60-180 amp welding capacity and 12 – 24V battery charger. There are also 4-in-1 options with everything you could need for a demanding jobsite; that is, a generator, welder, compressor and batter charger. Isn’t technology great? The most common choice of welder generator is the conventional model such as the Gentech 7kVA Welder Generator Powered by Honda. This is our best seller for farmers, tradies and serious DIY’ers who just want a tough, reliable welder generator unit. The other popular welder generator model is the Powerlite 7kVA Welder Generator, also powered by Honda. Air-Cooled Engines All engines are air-cooled, but some, like the two-cyle engines in your chainsaw and leaf blower, pass their heat directly into the air, while others, like the engine in your Studebaker, give up their heat to a liquid coolant, which releases it into the air through a heat exchanger--the radiator. But to keep things simple, we use the term \"air-cooled\" to describe any engine without water jackets in the block (and head, if applicable), and \"water-cooled or liquid-cooled\" to describe engines with a cooling system that circulates liquid. Air-cooled engines have fins cast into their cylinders and cylinder heads that give the engine greater surface area through which cool air can pass. As air passes over and through the fins, the engine\'s heat dissipates into the air. Air-cooled VW, Porsche and Corvair engines needed this air/oil cooling arrangement because they were rear mounted and wrapped in body work that prevented air from circulating freely around the cylinders. Also, as engines grow larger in displacement, it becomes increasingly difficult to cool them with air alone. All air-cooled engines are hailed for their simplicity, ease of maintenance and ruggedness. In the early part of the last century, air-cooling was believed by some to be the future of automotive engine design because it eliminated the complicated and troublesome cooling system. But advances in chemistry and cooling-system design made liquid cooling practical. Liquid cooling is used in all but small single-cylinder two-strokes and four-strokes today (like your lawn and garden equipment or chainsaw) because it keeps engine temperatures uniform under a wider variety of conditions, which takes the guesswork out of tuning an engine for power and emissions. What are Different Types of Engine – Complete Explanation In this article, we will learn about different types of engine. The classification of the engines depends upon the types of fuel used, cycle of operation, number of strokes, type of ignition, number of cylinders, arrangement of cylinders, valve arrangement, types of cooling etc. these engines are used in different areas such as in automotive industries, aircraft industries, marine industries, etc. according to their suitability they are used in different areas. So let\'s discuss about different engine types one by one. (i). External combustion engine: In external combustion engine, the combustion of fuel takes place outside the engine. Example: steam engine. (ii). Internal combustion engine: In internal combustion engine, the combustion of fuel takes place inside the engine. Two stroke and four stroke petrol and diesel engine are the examples of internal combustion engine. (i). Reciprocating engine: In reciprocating engine, there is a piston and cylinder, the piston does reciprocating (to and Fro) motion within the cylinder. Due to the reciprocating motion of the piston, it is called reciprocating engine. 2 stroke and four stroke engines are the common examples of reciprocating engine. (ii). Rotary engine: In rotary engine, the rotor does rotary motion to produce power. There is no reciprocating motion. A rotor is present in the chamber which does rotary motion inside a chamber. Wankel rotary engine , turbine engines are the rotary types of engine. (i). Petrol engine: The engine which uses petrol for its working is called petrol engine. (ii). Diesel engine: The engine which uses diesel for its working is called diesel engine. (iii). Gas engine: An engine using gas fuel for the working is called gas engine. Portable Generator Maintenance: Oil And Fuel When preparing your portable generator for use, especially when being used as a backup power source, It is important to perform proper maintenance. There are many components that you must maintain on your generator, but we\'re going to focus on two of the most important: oil and fuel. Here are some important tips to remember when maintaining your portable generator: 1. OIL It\'s essential to maintain your generator by regularly servicing the oil in the engine. The last thing you want during an emergency is to have your portable generator\'s engine shut down from lack of oil. Especially when you\'re relying on it to power necessary appliances in your home. Every time you used your generator, you should check the engine oil level. Usually every 100 hours—or every season—you should change the oil. However, if you use your portable generator in any extreme conditions, such as in a dirty or dusty environment, or in extremely hot weather, you should change the oil more frequently. Additionally, when disposing of oil, make sure to return it to a collection center to avoid pollution. 2. FUEL Before we talk about maintenance for your fuel, let\'s discuss the fuel requirements for your portable generator: Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline Fuel must have a minimum rating of 87 octane/87 AKI While up to 10% ethanol is acceptable, non-ethanol-premium fuel is recommended DO NOT use E85, gas/oil mix, or modify the engine to run on alternate fuels Depending on the portable generator model, you will either need to keep an eye on the fuel gauge, or you will need to manually check the fuel level. When refueling, you should always turn the generator off and let it cool down a bit first. This will allow hot components to cool and avoid a fire if gasoline is splashed or spilled. When you\'re not using the portable generator consistently, it is recommended you start and run it for a half hour every thirty days as a way of “exercising” the generator. If you are storing your generator between uses, make sure it\'s in a dry, safe place to prevent moisture, which can cause rust to accumulate in the fuel tank. Here a just a few more guidelines to follow: Add fuel stabilizer if your portable generator is being stored for over 30 days If fuel stabilizer is added, prepare and run the engine for long term storage Run the engine for 10-15 minutes to circulate the stabilizer Do NOT store fuel from one season to the next unless properly treated with fuel stabilizer If fuel stabilizer is not used, drain the fuel tank prior to storage.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.asiasenpu.com/Pipe Fittings: Various aspects of Using them Pipe fitting is meant for plumbing and piping system which is used in commercial and industrial industries. Fitting helps pipes to be joined properly so as to close them wherever required. These fittings can be found in market in different sizes and shapes. Besides, they can demand more time and can be expensive. They use distinct tools and materials to join and install. If you are working with plumbing or piping, then it is very essential to use pipe fitting. There is an assortment of fitting available in market. All pipes require a unique type of fitting but there are certain common features which are shared by all type of pipe fittings. Wherever materials for plumbing are sold, you can easily and conveniently find pipe fittings. How to connect pipe fittings with the pipe? You can find pipe fittings in two varieties, female fittings and male fittings. The female threads are there on the inner side in a threaded pipe fitting. Street fittings are those having a male and a female end. Tube and pipes can be connected using pipe fittings in two ways: Threading Threaded pipes are twisted together for joining them. In most cases, metal pipes have threaded fittings. Slip fit Sleeves are used with slip fit pipes and they slip into each other. Generally, plastic pipes are slip fit but they can also be threaded. What criteria should be considered in selection of pipe fitting? There are certain factors to be considered while selecting pipe fitting: Types of connection While you are embarking on the journey of buying pipe fittings, you must keep in mind that there are two types of connectors. It may be that one end is female threaded while the other female slip. Or it may be that one end is male slip while the other end is threaded when you are talking about plastic fittings. Besides, they are also available with matching ends, which can house all requirements. Construction materials It is a common phenomenon that the pipe fitting material should be same as the material used in the pipe. Nevertheless, at times, certain materials can also be used in pipes of made of any material. Checking it for flow In comparison to the rest of the pipe fitting, the end of the fitting should be made a bit larger in order to keep it flowing consistently. It will help in accommodation of the connection without causing damage to the pipe’s inner diameter. Fitting type In addition to the material of the pipe, the type of fitting should also be taken care of, which include threaded or slip fitting and male or female fit. Size Pipe fittings size is measured in different ways at the outside and inside end. The outside edge of the pipe fittings are measured in cases of male threaded fittings while in case of female threaded fittings, size is measure from inside edge of the inlet. Design Different pipes are designed to carry different fluids like gases, liquid or chemicals. In accordance to the purpose of the pipe, there are varied pipe fitting designs available. Thickness Pipe fittings are also available in different thickness same as pipes. Codes and standards Various organizations have set different standards in accordance of which pipe fittings are graded. Some of those standards associated with pipe fittings are ASTM, BSP, and ASME. What are the main uses of ppr pipe fittings? Ppr pipe fittings are the most commonly used materials in home decoration, and their capabilities are not small, such as water supply, hot water pipe systems, heating pipe systems and air conditioning pipes. Engineering hot water is generally directly related to the use of ppr pipe fittings, which are more stable, safe, easy to install, and cost-effective. Engineering hot water ppr pipe fittings can also be hidden. When the concealed pipe penetrates the wall, in order to ensure the safety, service life and maintenance of the pipe, a metal sleeve can be installed to ensure the installation of ppr pipe fittings. In installation engineering, ppr pipe fittings have the advantage of hot-melt connection. Pipes and pipe fittings are welded by temperature heating, so that water is not easy to leak, but the heating temperature and time need to be accurate and not too long. If the temperature is too high for too long, the pipes and fittings will be damaged by hot melt. If the time is too short and the temperature is too low, the pipes and fittings will be unstable and easy to burst. Nowadays, ppr pipe fittings are becoming more and more popular in society, involving water supply, sewage, irrigation, gas transmission and other uses. Due to its own advantages and characteristics, it can stand out in the pipeline market and occupy a very important position. PPR is a random copolymer polypropylene. In winter, the flexibility of PPR water pipes will decrease, while the rigidity will increase and flatten. If the pipe is impacted by an external force, the surface of the pipe will crack more seriously. Therefore, ppr pipe fittings manufacturers suggest that when we use or install ppr pipe fittings in winter, we need to be more careful to prevent pipe collisions and littering. Caring for the pipeline means caring for our own water consumption. Get to Know About PPR Pipe Introduction PPR pipe as a common pipeline water supply system is widely used in various construction industries, including residential domestic piping systems, hotels and shopping mall plumbing projects, etc... So how much do you know the PPR pipe you are using? How do you select the best PPR pipe or fitting for your project? Through this article, let get to know about PPR pipe! What\'s PPR pipe? PPR pipes are a new type of environmentally friendly pipes, which also represent the development direction of drainage pipes in the future. So what is PPR means? PPR is a random co-polymer polypropylene, which is formed by random co-polymerization of propensity monomer and a small amount of ethylene monomer under the action of heat, pressure and catalyst. The ethylene monomer is randomly distributed in the long chain of propensity, and the ethylene monomer is generally controlled between 3-5%. The ethylene content and the polymerization method of ethylene and propensity determine its cold brittleness. Therefore, in winter, the flexibility of the PPR pipe will decrease, while rigidity will increase and flatten. If the pipe is impacted by an external force, the surface of the pipe will crack more seriously. Types of PPR pipe RIFENG as a global piping supplier and manufacturer, devoted to improving product quality and practicality. To meet the needs of global piping solutions, RIFENG has also developed the following new products, such as Basalt Fiber PPR Pipe, Anti-freeze PPR Pipe, etc... which can be used in each piping application. Do you know these types of PPR pipes? Keep reading! #Glass Fiber Composite PPR Pipe RIFENG/RIIFO Glass Fiber Composite PPR Pipe consists of PPR inner and outer layers and a special mixture of Glass Fiber (GF) and PPR in the middle layer. It increases the rigidity of the pipe, improves the strength of the pipe, and reduces the linear expansion coefficient of the pipe. Advantage of Glass Fiber Composite PPR pipe: Low linear expansion coefficient (0,05mm/mK), long-term high-temperature operation without fear of deformation. Three-layer structure design, stable and reliable, strongly isolate light to ensure clean water. Excellent resistance to oxidation & corrosion, extraordinary chemical stability. Upgraded temperature and pressure resistance, the strength of the pipe exceeds the standard value by 80%, and the instantaneous working temperature up to 95℃. Thermoplastic composite pipe on the rise in the deep sea Visit the news pages of the Airborne Oil & Gas (AOG, IJmuiden, Netherlands) and Magma Global Ltd. (Portsmouth, U.K.) websites and you’ll come away with the impression that 2018 was a watershed year for these two leading manufacturers of thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) for deep-sea applications. But don’t be surprised if 2019 news about this burgeoning market for composites eclipses that of the preceding year. A few notable achievements of 2018 for AOG: In June, the company commenced a qualification program for carbon fiber/polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) risers (pipes connecting subsea production systems and surface production vessels) for a major operator in South America. AOG worked in collaboration with Subsea 7 (Luxembourg), a major offshore installation contractor, on this project. In August, after an extensive five-year qualification program followed by the world’s first pilot installation on hydrocarbon (full well bore) service of a glass fiber/high-density polyethylene (HDPE) flowline (pipe that connects the well head to further processing equipment), Petronas (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) recognized AOG’s TCP flowline as having achieved technology readiness level 6 (beta prototype verification). “And we expect to reach TRL 7 [pilot system demonstration] in 2019,” reports Martin Van Onna, AOG CCO. Along with these successful qualifications and pilot programs, AOG reports a growing commercial track record, especially with its glass fiber/HDPE TCP. As for Magma, 2018 was equally eventful. In March, Tullow Ghana awarded a contract to Magma for a 2.5-kilometer flowline for its development of Tweneboa, Enyenra, Ntomme (TEN) offshore fields. In May, working with Ocyan (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), an offshore services company, Magma completed and received third-party validation of a Composite Multi-Bore Hybrid Riser (CMHR) design that employs Magma’s carbon fiber/polyetheretherketone (PEEK) m-pipe. Magma and Ocyan are bidding the CMHR for deep-water developments in Brazil. Magma announced in August that a joint initiative with Equinor (Stavanger, Norway) had secured £10.5 million in funding from Innovate UK, a government funding source, to qualify an all-Magma solution for jumpers (pipes that connect flowlines and/or subsea facilities). Finally, in November, the Energy Institute (London, U.K.) bestowed its 2018 Award for Innovation to Magma for its m-pipe, citing the pipe’s ability to solve the challenges of oil and gas production in deepwater reserves, as well as its ability to be reused. Valves - Choosing Between Ductile and Cast Iron Customers from all kinds of industries need valves of all varieties for their high-demand processes. Valves are available in a huge number of materials for any application imaginable. A few of these materials are PVC, carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and ductile iron. In this post we will focus on two of those materials: ductile iron and cast iron. The argument of \"ductile vs. cast iron valves\" has been going on for decades, as not everyone knows the differences. Luckily, comparing valves made of ductile iron and cast iron is simple, as these materials have just a few major differences. We will outline properties of both materials and then go through the pros and cons of each. By the end of this blog post, you will be an iron expert! Cast Iron Valves Specifications Cast iron (also known as gray iron) is a type of metal that has been in use for hundreds of years. It is an alloy made from 96%-98% iron, 2%-4% carbon, and small amounts of silicone. It has impressive temperature tolerance, with some cast iron capable of handling temperatures over 2100F (1150C). When it comes to pressure, cast iron\'s strength depends on its pressure class. The two most common are class 125 and class 250. At less extreme temperatures, class 125 cast iron flange is rated for pressures between 150 and 200 psi. Class 250 cast iron is a bit tougher, with pressure ratings from 300 to 500 psi. These pressures can vary by end type. Cast iron is strong and will usually go undamaged even after going through intense vibrations. The main drawback of cast iron valves is that they are not very ductile at all. Virtually any bending will cause cast iron to crack and become useless. One great quality of cast iron is that it is not very expensive. As far as metals go, cast iron is usually the most economical option, which makes it a solid alternative for people on a budget. Ductile Valves Specifications The second material we\'re looking at is ductile iron. Ductile iron is a more modern iron alloy that is made with nodule-shaped graphite. This gives the material excellent ductility, so it will not necessarily break when bent. The temperature limit is a bit lower than cast iron, but it is still quite high at 1350F (730C). When it comes to pressure, ductile iron valves also use pressure classes: 150 and 300. At standard outdoor temperatures, class 150 ductile iron keeps a seal up to 250 psi. Class 300 can stand up to pressures as high as 640 psi. Ductile iron has excellent corrosion resistance, tensile strength, and yield strength. Unlike cast iron, ductile iron does not break when it is bent, so it is more suited for high demand applications. Ductile iron is a strong and reliable material for pipes, fittings, and valves. One drawback is price. Ductile iron is typically more expensive than cast iron due to its more complicated chemical makeup. If your application requires a tougher material, however, you may need to spend a little more.님의 프로필 사진

  • https://www.beeswaxcn.com/Beeswax is a substance made by honeybees. It has many useful properties, not only for the success of the hive but also as a natural ingredient for consumer products. It can be used for household items, but there are also biological benefits. Bees play an important role in keeping our world functioning. With the amount of pollination that they do, they contribute to various animal and plant species\' survival, including our own. Not only that, bee products are now an integral part of consumer products. These products are growing in popularity, and help bring attention to all the work honeybees do for nature and people. What Is Beeswax? Besides growing in demand as a natural alternative to plastics and synthetic chemicals, beeswax is an important material used for building the beehive. It is made to store food and house the young bee larvae. Beeswax is made up of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, which are formed into long carbon chains. This structure makes beeswax easy to sculpt once it’s been harvested and cleaned.‌ Worker bees make beeswax by turning their nectar and honey stores into compounds. They work together and use their small bodies to make the product. Those compounds are secreted from special glands on the bee\'s abdomen. Chinese wax, also called Chinese Insect-wax, or insect wax, white or yellow-white crystalline wax, is similar to cetacean, but is harder, more brittle, and has a higher melting point. It is deposited on the branches of some trees by the scale insect Ceroplastes ceriferus (common in China and India) or a related scale insect, Ericerus pe-la (in China and Japan). Both of these scale insects belong to the order Homoptera, the order Trematodes. Insects and their secretions are collected, boiled with water, and raw wax is extracted. The bodies of the insects sink to the bottom of the water and are used as food for the pigs. Waxes in China are mainly used to make candles and polishes, and to sizing paper. In China, waxes are used in medicine. Taken internally, it is used to treat hoarseness, pain, worms, nervous tension, and to aid in the repair of broken bones. Externally, it is used as an ointment to treat wounds. Arabic Gum is the gum that is exuded from certain trees, such as the Acacia senegal tree. It\'s a source of dietary fiber that can dissolve in water. Gum arabic tends to make people feel full, so they might stop eating earlier than they otherwise would. This might lead to weight loss and reduced cholesterol levels. Gum arabic is used for high cholesterol, diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. Microcrystalline Wax, any petroleum-derived plastic material that differs from paraffin wax by having finer and less pronounced crystals and a higher melting point and viscosity. Microcrystalline waxes are primarily used in laminated paper products, coatings and liners, as well as in adhesives, sealing compositions and various types of polishes. Compared to paraffin wax, the properties of microcrystalline wax can vary depending on the source of crude oil and the method and degree of refining. Some are malleable, like beeswax; others are hard and brittle; and still others crumble easily during handling. The melting point range is higher than that of paraffin, and the commercial grade range is 63° to 93° C (145° to 200° F). Microcrystalline waxes vary in color from creamy white to dark brown. Decolorization is difficult, and the odor and taste of these waxes may be undesirable in some applications. Microcrystalline waxes can be made from crude oil residue refining; or they can be made from petrolatum by removing the oil with a solvent. Their physical properties can be controlled by the temperature of the solvent. Separation methods include solvent dilution, cooling, centrifugation, filtration, and various combinations of these. What is paraffin wax? Fully Refined Paraffin Wax is a white or colorless soft, solid wax. It’s made from saturated hydrocarbons. It’s often used in skin-softening salon and spa treatments on the hands, cuticles, and feet because it’s colorless, tasteless, and odorless. It can also be used to provide pain relief to sore joints and muscles. Paraffin wax has many other uses, too. It’s often used as lubrication, electrical insulation, and to make candles and crayons. Paraffin has cosmetic and therapeutic benefits. Cosmetic benefits Cosmetically, paraffin wax is often applied to the hands and feet. The wax is a natural emollient, helping make skin supple and soft. When applied to the skin, it adds moisture and continues to boost the moisture levels of the skin after the treatment is complete. It can also help open pores and remove dead skin cells. That may help make the skin look fresher and feel smoother. Therapeutic benefits Paraffin wax may be used to help relieve pain in the hands of people with: osteoarthritisTrusted Source rheumatoid arthritis fibromyalgiaTrusted Source other joint mobility issues Wax carving is a very old production method for jewellers and silversmiths – around 6,000 years old. It’s like sculpture for jewellery. The Special Wax itself comes in several colours, which denote the working properties – for instance blue is a good general wax, green is good for detail. It can be filed, drilled and lathed, but is mostly carved. The actual technique is more like scraping than carving. It\'s useful for those forms that are difficult to produce by any other means, and lends itself particularly well to figurative work. Usually, a piece of jewellery is carved in wax, cast via the lost wax casting method, then the casting cleaned up and fittings added. If it’s a one-off piece it may undergo further processes, if it\'s for production, it will then have a mould made. Moulds are traditionally made from vulcanised rubber. Several layers of unvulcanised rubber are placed around a metal master pattern inside a frame. The frame and rubber are placed in a press and compressed under heat. The resulting block is cut open and the master removed. Wax is injected into the mould and, when cool, removed. Multiple versions of the same item can then be produced.님의 프로필 사진

  • https://www.zhaoguangroup.com/Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) is a chemical compound consisting of one chlorine atom and two oxygen atoms. It is a reddish to yellowish-green gas at room temperature that dissolves in water. It is used for a variety of antimicrobial uses, including the disinfection of drinking water. Chlorine dioxide gas is usually produced onsite from sodium chlorate or sodium chlorite. Uses & Benefits Powerful Disinfection in Water Treatment Chlorine dioxide is a disinfectant. When added to drinking water, it helps destroy bacteria, viruses and some types of parasites that can make people sick, such as Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulates the maximum concentration of Chlorine Dioxide Tablets in drinking water to be no greater than 0.8 parts per million (ppm). Industrial/Manufacturing Uses Chlorine dioxide chemistry is used in a wide variety of industrial, oil and gas, food and municipal applications: Food and Beverage Production Chlorine Dioxide Powder can be used as an antimicrobial agent in water used in poultry processing and to wash fruits and vegetables. Paper Processing Chlorine dioxide is used to chemically process wood pulp for paper manufacturing. Medical Applications In hospitals and other healthcare environments, chlorine dioxide gas helps to sterilize medical and laboratory equipment, surfaces, rooms and tools. Researchers have found that at appropriate concentrations, chlorine dioxide is both safe and effective at helping to eliminate Legionella bacteria in hospital environments. Legionella pneumophila bacteria can cause Legionnaires’ disease, a potentially deadly type of pneumonia. Chlorine dioxide is not a cure or treatment for medical ailments, including but not limited to autism, HIV, malaria, hepatitis viruses, influenza, common colds, and cancer. Claims that the ingestion of chlorine dioxide, often advertised as “Miracle Mineral Solution” or MMS, will cure these or other ailments are false. Safety Information Chlorine Dioxide Liquid is used to disinfect drinking water around the world. According to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, chlorine dioxide is added to drinking water to protect people from harmful bacteria and other microorganisms. EPA recognizes chlorine dioxide use as a drinking water disinfectant, and it is included in the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality. In its pure form, chlorine dioxide is a hazardous gas but most people are “not likely” to breathe air containing dangerous levels of chlorine dioxide as it rapidly breaks down in air to chlorine gas and oxygen. For workers who use chlorine dioxide, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration (OSHA) regulates the level of chlorine dioxide in workplace air for safety. OSHA has set a Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) for chlorine dioxide at 0.1 parts per million (ppm), or 0.3 milligrams (mg) per cubic meters (m3) for workers using chlorine dioxide for general industrial purposes. OSHA also has a PEL for chlorine dioxide for the construction industry. Air Disinfection Gel is one powerhouse sanitizer that is getting more attention recently as food processors look for more efficacious products to help them win the sanitation battle. Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), it is as powerful as peracetic acid and more economical, yet it has far less of an impact on the environment than quaternary ammonium salts, chlorine or bromine, making it an excellent choice for food processing plants. It costs about the same to use as other sanitizers but is more versatile and less harmful. It’s also been shown to destroy and prevent biofilms, one of the biggest challenges to food processors in destroying harmful bacteria. It also does not have the strong odor or corrosive qualities associated with chlorine. It is a versatile alternative that can be used in many sanitation applications, including pasteurization equipment, heat exchangers, cooling towers, hard surface disinfecting, potable water treatment and deodorizing stacks in rendering plants. It is already growing in popularity as a tool to control microbiological growth in the dairy industry, the beverage industry, the fruit and vegetable processing industries, canning plants, and in poultry and beef facilities. Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate is the sodium salt of a chlorinated hydroxytriazine and is used as a source of free available chlorine, in the form of hypochlorous acid, for the disinfection of water. It is widely used as a stable source of chlorine for the disinfection of swimming pools and in the food industry. It is also used as a means of disinfecting drinking-water, primarily in emergencies, when it provides an easy-to-use source of free chlorine, and, more recently, as the form of chlorine for household point-of-use water treatment. Disinfectant Wipes should never be reused. Reusing wipes will move germs from one surface to another, which is potentially harmful in the current pandemic. In order for any surface to be properly disinfected, the U.S. CDC recommends following the instructions on each product carefully and leaving the disinfectant on the surface for 3-5 minutes. This means the surface needs to be wet for this period of time, and you may need to use more than one disinfectant wipe depending on the size of the surface. However, you should never reuse the same disinfectant wipe.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.3d-sting.com/The Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) printing process is incredibly adaptable—however, 3D Printer Filament doesn’t work for every plastic. As a result of the tight constraints required to precisely extrude plastic out of a tiny nozzle, traditional plastics originally optimized for injection molding do not print. The plastics that are printable, however, cover a massive range of compositions, print constraints, and material properties. To find the right material, you need to match the requirements of your applications to the properties of the materials you can print with. In this article, we discuss the strengths and weaknesses of a variety of thermoplastics. In addition to printing thermoplastics, Markforged also adapts the FFF process to print non-plastic materials. In Continuous Filament Fabrication (CFF), an FFF 3D Printer with a specialized second nozzle lays down continuous carbon fiber, fiberglass, or Kevlar® into a part. Atomic Diffusion Additive Manufacturing (ADAM) builds on the existing metal fabrication technology of Metal Injection Molding (MIM), by using an FFF based process to print metal powder encased in a plastic binder. These printed parts are placed in a solvent bath to remove binding material and sintered into fully metallic parts. Standard thermoplastics As 3D printing has expanded rapidly, so has the variety of PETG 3D Printer Filaments. Despite this boom, most FFF 3D-printable thermoplastics fit into three categories: basic thermoplastics, niche thermoplastics, and superplastics. Basic thermoplastics: These plastics don’t have any excellent qualities, but are the most popular printing thermoplastics available. PLA, the most common printing plastic, prints well and possesses decent mechanical properties—however, its complete lack of heat resistance and its low durability makes it impossible to use in industrial environments. ABS has superior heat resistance, but isn’t particularly strong and reacts poorly with most manufacturing chemicals. PETG, a printing subset of polyethylene, is a cross between the two: a bit stronger than ABS and a bit more heat resistant than PLA, but still not robust enough for most manufacturing environments. Superplastics: These materials possess all the aspects necessary to thrive in manufacturing environments. PEEK and Ultem are both strong, stiff plastics that have extremely high heat resistance and chemical resistance. Engineers used them heavily in manufacturing before they were 3D printable, and now use Multifunctional 3D Printers to create custom, robust fixtures out of these materials. Continuous fibers (CFF) While chopped carbon fibers are remarkable in their ability to augment thermoplastics, continuous fibers can add far more strength to parts. Markforged uses a combination of FFF printing and Continuous Fiber Fabrication (CFF) to lay down long strand fibers in conventionally printed thermoplastic parts. This technology is also extrusion based and prints via a secondary nozzle, but instead of melting the whole PCL 3D Printer Filament, it uses the heat of its nozzle to “iron” down fibers into a thermoplastic layer. Fibers do not melt—instead, they’re captured by the thermoplastic matrix in a similar way that thermoset adhesives like epoxy capture fibers in traditional fiber fabrication methods. 3D printing pen seems to be the buzzword around 3D printing enthusiasts and hobbyists. Be it a child or a professional artist, everyone is eager to have a 3D printing pen. The fact that it brings fun at the workplace, inspires creativity and helps in learning, is making 3D Pens a craze all over the world. 3D printing pens are just similar to ordinary glue guns, but these pens extrude 3D printing filaments. This extruded/melted material is used to draw figures and artwork. It is similar to a regular writing pen but in these pens the figure can stand on its own in the third dimension (Z-axis). The subsequent result is a three dimensional figure which is draw by hand and looks like a 3D printed part. Since the drawings are made with hand they are not as finished as produced by a machine but they are a great tool to inspire creativity. Grown out of a necessity to democratise the 3D printing technology and make it accessible to even the average person, three enthusiastic people worked on creating a device which is not as bulky, costly and techno-centric as a 3D printer. The three inventors built, Peter Dilworth, Maxwell Bogue, and Daniel Cowen of WobbleWorks, Inc their first prototype in 2012 in a makerspace. They invented the first Cordless 3d Printing Pen which they called a 3Doodler. It is said that they had a bad experience with 3D printers and wanted to create a product that was simple & affordable to every hobbyists and artist. The working principle of 3D printing pens is straightforward. Since the pens use polymer filament as the material the working is as simple as melting the material in a heat chamber and extruding it through the tip (read nozzle) of the pen and deposit the material on any platform. The user can then move the pen around to draw different figures and shapes. The melted material oozing out of the nozzle quickly cools and this makes the deposited material to stand on its own accord. Once cooled the plastic shape holds its shape and remains permanent. The heating temperature is adjusted as per the material used in the pen. Only a limited number of materials can be used in a 3D Children Smart Pen. The requirement for a material to be used in a 3D printing pen is that it should melt quickly when heated and solidify quickly once it is extruded out of the pen. The user should also note that he should not draw with the 3D pen like a regular pen. The 3D pen should be moved slowly so the figures can be drawn and it holds its shape.님의 프로필 사진

  • https://www.nbysolen.com/Over the past few years, technology and skin care have collided more than ever before, causing us to wonder: Could there soon be a day when all our precious serums and creams will be rendered obsolete, replaced by a bevy of high-tech tools and devices? The short answer is probably not. No product-obsessed person would ever dare say \"see ya later\" to their beloved top shelf, but that\'s not to say the aforementioned gadgets won\'t seriously upgrade the skin-care game — and potentially shake up the industry as we know it. Need proof? We have a Food and Drug Administration-cleared LED mask that\'ll help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fight acne and a vibrating facial massage tool that mimics your body\'s natural lymphatic system. Oh, and there\'s an epidermal growth factor (EGF) Micro-Needling + Ion Infusion Kit from Georgia Louise to consider as well — which creates tons of tiny channels on your skin\'s surface. The tech-based options we\'re exposed to seem to be increasing by the month, let alone year, so we\'ve rounded up 17 dermatologist- and editor-approved skin-care Facial Device worth trying out this year, including a handheld LED light that literally zaps away the appearance of fine lines over time. Massage guns, also known as percussion Massagers, percussive therapy and vibration therapy, offer many of the benefits of massage without the expense or the hassle of a visit to the massage therapist — something currently forbidden, with physical distancing. These electric tools, which start at about $100 and resemble power drills, deliver a vigorous massage and typically come with a selection of attachments, such as balls of varying firmness and finger-like tips, and have different settings. While they’re designed to be used by anyone, they’re most popular among endurance athletes such as triathletes and ultramarathoners, says Hugh Williams, the marketing director of Addaday, a massage gun manufacturer. But with the benefits come a few risks as well. Here’s what you should know before using one. Like a traditional massage, the Body Hair Device aims to reduce inflammation by flushing extracellular fluids such as lymph fluid and venous blood out of the muscle tissue and into the circulatory system. It can help relax tight muscles, break up scar tissue and adhesions, and minimize muscle soreness and tension. A small study published in the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research found percussive therapy to be as effective as massage in preventing DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). Unlike with many other forms of bodywork, it’s not only possible to perform percussive massage on yourself but it’s recommended. According to Alan Novick, physician and chief of the Memorial Rehabilitation Institute in Hollywood, Fla., if someone else is using the gun on you, regardless of their credentials, skill and experience, they can’t tell how much pressure they’re exerting on your body or how much pain you might be experiencing as a result. “You could actually hurt somebody,” he says. On the other hand, if you’re using it on yourself, “you have that direct feedback loop and you’re not going to apply as much pressure,” Novick says. During the 1940s, many hospitals began utilizing UV-C energy for the control of airborne infectious diseases. With the arrival and proliferation of antibiotics, use of germicidal UV began to wane. During the 1990s, drug-resistant “superbugs” and hospital-acquired infections renewed interest in UV-C, which can kill virtually any microorganism, including antibiotic-resistant germs. ASHRAE has recognized that the UV-C wavelength inactivates virtually all microorganisms living on HVACR surfaces, with kill ratios of up to 99 percent, depending on the intensity of the UV-C and the length of exposure.6 UV-C dose is determined by the amount of germicidal energy a pathogen absorbs over a specific period of time. In other words, UV-C dose is a function of time multiplied by intensity. Consider, for example, a surface-disinfection application involving cooling coils. The Disinfection Device target (the coil surface) is stationary, so exposure, or “residence,” time is continuous. As a result, the intensity of the UV-C energy striking the surface can be relatively low. In the case of a moving air stream, however, exposure time is limited—a mere fraction of a second, in some cases—so UV-C intensity must be much greater. It is important to note that microbe inactivation is a nonlinear function of UV-C exposure. In other words, “If a certain UV exposure kills 90 percent of a bacterial population (frequently referred to as ‘one-log kill’), doubling the exposure time or intensity can kill only 90 percent of the residual 10 percent, for an overall germicidal efficacy of 99 percent (‘two-log kill’).”7님의 프로필 사진

  • https://www.maincleanwipes.com/There is an ongoing debate regarding which method of disinfection application is more effective – wipes or spray bottles and paper towel. In this article, we will outline four reasons as to why disinfecting wipes should be your first choice over a paper towel and spray bottle. Effectiveness When applying disinfectant solution through a trigger spray bottle , most people will grab 3 or 4 sheets of paper towel, spray the surface 4 or 5 times, and then immediately use the towels to wipe the surface off until it is clean and dry. You may not see an issue with this, but the problem is that for a disinfectant to effectively kill germs and bacteria, it must come into contact with the germs for a prescribed period of time, also known as the “Dwell Time”, to ensure that the solution has had the chance to effectively disinfect the surface. By using paper towels to quickly wipe the spray off the surface, you are simply removing all the germ-fighting action before the disinfectant gets a chance to fully work. On the other hand, disinfectant Wipes allow you optimize your cleaning process by removing any debris off the surface, while simultaneously disinfecting in one singular motion. As the pre-saturated wipe glides over the surface, it cleans the surface while evenly distributing the correct amount of disinfectant solution and leaving a thin layer of liquid on the surface to dry naturally and kill germs and bacteria in the process. Cost When using a spray to moisten the surface and a paper towel for drying, is is common to overuse both the spray and the towel. With this cleaning method, people tend to use up more product than necessary. The process of disinfection would be accomplished in a much more cost effective way with only one Roxton disinfectant wipe, especially since our Wet Wipes are specially manufactured to be more durable than the rest. Our wipes are made with an extra thick embossed substrate, meaning that one wipe alone will go the distance and cover much more surface than the typical spray and wipe method. It’s all in the math – wipes win. Waste Human nature dictates that we tend to overuse our consumption of products. This is no exception when it comes to how we use paper towels. Paper towels are big and bulky and when the user is done with them, they end up in the trash. Compared to paper towels, Baby Wipes are used individually and are much less bulky, meaning they take up less room in the trash. By conserving waste and using less paper, the trash can be emptied less often when cleaning with wipes. Safety Spray bottles can be a cause for concern due to the risk of a messy application. Disinfectant spray can easily end up in places not intended due to over-spray or inaccuracy. Partially clogged spray nozzles can also play a role in this. Most seriously, blow back caused when the bottle is too close to your intended surface is dangerous as it can end up on you or even in your eyes. Dry Wipes are far more accurate in application as the disinfectant is directed exactly where you want it to go. The wipe acts as an applicator, leaving a thin layer of germ-killing disinfectant directly on your intended surface. As a key element of personal protective equipment, Gloves provide an important barrier to contact transmission in dental settings Oral health professionals are at daily risk of exposure to infectious diseases, and gloves provide an important barrier to contact transmission. Knowing how to perform proper hand hygiene, choosing the right gloves, and following recommended protocols for glove use will help keep clinicians and patients safe and healthy. The federal government has created regulations and recommendations to prevent disease transmission and promote safe health care. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was created in 1970 to protect workers’ health and safety. In 1987, regulations for chemical safety were addressed with the addition of the Hazard Communication Standard and, in 1991, the Bloodborne Pathogens Standards — designed to protect against bloodborne pathogens — were finalized. The U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) develops guidelines and recommendations to protect clinicians and patients. Infection prevention in dentistry is largely based on the CDC’s Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings — 2003. In 2016, a companion document was released that provides a summary of the 2003 guidelines, plus new recommendations. In addition to these protocols, OSHA and the CDC continue to develop regulations and recommendations, respectively, to ensure the delivery of safe care.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.boatdetergent.com/5 Reasons You Shouldn’t Use Homemade Laundry Detergent My goal of this heading isn’t to give you an exact recipe, but to break down the common ingredients in homemade laundry soaps. Most homemade laundry ‘detergents’ are made up of water softeners like baking soda, washing soda, and borax and a cleaning agent which is typically a grated bar of soap. The goal of the water softener is to… you guessed it! Soften the water. You might have heard the terms hard water and soft water which has to do with the level of minerals like calcium and magnesium in the water. The most common water softeners used in homemade laundry soap borax and washing soda, but they’re marketed as laundry BOOSTERS because they are meant to aid a detergent not replace one. If you have really hard water, like I do in California, using a homemade laundry soap is even worse because the high levels of calcium and magnesium make it almost impossible for the soap to wash free from the textiles. While the laundry boosters help some, its not an appropriate replacement for detergent. DIY laundry ‘detergent’ can RUIN your clothing: When you’re using homemade laundry soap you can ruin your clothing. I know this from personal experience, but lets take a little bit deeper look into why. If you use soap on your hands in the kitchen or bathroom sink you’ve probably had to deal with soap build up or soap scum. That’s happening to your clothes, and worse… your washing machine which we’ll address in the next heading. Every time you wash your clothing soap build up buries itself inside of the textiles. This build up can create a water repelling effect which might be why your reusable towels aren’t super great at absorbing water, but can also leave an oily residue behind. When soap accumulates in your clothing it will actually attract and trap dirt in your textiles. It quite literally makes your clothing DIRTY the exact opposite thing you want from a laundry detergent… How Does Laundry Detergent Affect the Environment? When we dump a capful of concentrated cleaning detergent into our laundry machine, we don’t really think much of it, especially not in an environmental sense. After all, as far as most of us are concerned, something as common and innocuous as laundry detergent couldn’t possibly be bad for the planet. Some brands even make a point to say so! Unfortunately, like so many man-made chemical inventions, detergent is far from completely harmless. What are laundry detergents made from? Detergents are hardly naturally occurring. Most of the most popular commercial brands are manufactured using synthetic chemical compounds. This makes them very different from soap, which is made from natural substances like lye and plant saponins. This makes sense, of course, as soap goes directly on the skin; laundry detergent does not. Instead, laundry detergent is added to dirty laundry, where it does its job “lifting stains” and “preserving colors” before getting washed out, diluted, and sent down the drain with the wastewater from your washing machine. Unfortunately, the chemicals in these detergents can have a far-reaching environmental impact. What are the environmental effects of detergents? Detergents can contain several chemical compounds that have negative environmental effects. Phosphate-containing laundry or dish detergents can react adversely when they finally reach the water table. The nitrogen in these detergents reacts with phosphorus in the water, creating nutrients that stimulate the growth of algae in freshwater. According to Lenntech, a company from the Netherlands, this type of algae uses up the oxygen in the water in a process called eutrophication. Over time, this slowly depletes the oxygen in a body of water, ruining the ecosystem. Other detergents contain surfactants, or surface-active agents, which are chemicals that reduce the surface tension of oil and water. For the detergent, these surfactants help dirt to “lift off” and stay out of clothing. The problem is, they also happen to be highly toxic to aquatic life. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), surfactants break down the mucus layer that coats fish, protecting them from parasites and bacteria. They also reduce the surface tension of water, making it easier for waterways to absorb pollutants and pesticides. Heck, they don’t even break down well or dilute. Instead, surfactants only breakdown further into more toxic byproducts. Hand Sanitizer Use Out and About Germs are everywhere! They can get onto hands and items we touch during daily activities and make us sick. Cleaning hands at key times with soap and water or hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is one of the most important steps you can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to those around you. There are important differences between washing hands with soap and water and using hand sanitizer. Soap and water work to remove all types of germs from hands, while sanitizer acts by killing certain germs on the skin. Although alcohol-based hand sanitizers can quickly reduce the number of germs in many situations, they should be used in the right situations. Soap and water are more effective than hand sanitizers at removing certain kinds of germs like norovirus, Cryptosporidium, and Clostridioides difficile, as well as chemicals. Hand sanitizers also may not remove harmful chemicals, such as pesticides and heavy metals like lead. Handwashing reduces the amounts of all types of germs, pesticides, and metals on hands. Knowing when to clean your hands and which method to use will give you the best chance of preventing sickness. What are the qualities of a good shampoo? The characteristics of a good shampoo are fairly obvious. A shampoo should clean away the oil and dirt, rinse out easily, and leave your hair shiny, manageable, and flexible. Research has shown that various chemicals lurking inside shampoo may induce serious health risks, like memory loss, eye and skin irritation, hair follicle damage that can lead to hair loss, and even cancer. While the U.S. Food and Drug Administration classify personal care products, it does not regulate them. Therefore, there are no legal guidelines or boundaries for shampoo manufacturers to follow. The descriptive “all-natural” has become a buzzword in the beauty world for environmental friendliness. What some shampoo makers leave out, however, is they still use the lathering agents, emulsifiers and synthetic fragrances that contain hundreds of harmful chemicals. Additives to avoid: * Propylene glycol, known as the main ingredient in antifreeze, is also found in makeup, toothpaste and in your shampoo. It can cause allergic reactions. * Sodium lauryl sulfate and ammonium lauryl sulfate are common causes of eye irritation. They can also damage hair follicles. When absorbed into the body from continuous contact, they can bring on asthma attacks. * Synthetic fragrances contain hundreds of chemicals, some of which have been known to cause headaches, dizziness, rash, hyper pigmentation, coughing and vomiting. *The National Toxicology Program found that applying diethanolamine to a mouse’s skin induced liver and kidney cancer. DEA is readily absorbed through the skin and can also be toxic to the brain. The spread of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 has spurred a surge in sales of cleaning and disinfection products. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends regular cleaning of frequently touched surfaces, along with thorough hand washing—both standard practices for helping slow the spread of viruses and bacteria. But consumers will be disappointed if they go looking for a product that specifically promises to kill SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Although there’s good evidence the novel coronavirus is one of the easiest types of viruses to kill, scientists are still determining its exact nature and how big a role surface transmission plays in its spread. As researchers rush to understand the new pathogen, the US EPA is working to provide the public with information about disinfectants that can help slow its spread. Such claims won’t be allowed in brick-and-mortar stores, though, until more testing can be done.님의 프로필 사진

  • http://www.depamupumps.comHow Does a Metering Pump Work? Metering pumps, also called dosing pumps, are pumps that are designed to dispense specific amounts of fluid and measured flow control. They use expanding and contracting chambers to move the liquids. Metering pumps also have a high level of accuracy over time and can pump a wide range of liquids including corrosives, acids, and bases, as well as slurries and viscous liquids. They are used in various industries like manufacturing, agriculture, and medicine. There are a variety of types of metering pumps that work in different ways. For the purposes of this post, we’ll look at diaphragm and peristaltic metering pumps. How Diaphragm and Peristaltic Metering Pumps Work Both types of metering pumps – diaphragm pumps and peristaltic – are very useful and will typically provide many years of reliable, efficient operation. Diaphragm Metering Pumps Diaphragm pumps are positive displacement pumps that move liquids using a reciprocating diaphragm. They are found to be very reliable because they don’t have internal parts that rub together, creating friction and leading to wear and tear. Additionally, because they don’t require seals or lubrication in the pump head, there isn’t a chance of oil vapor contamination or leakage of the media being pumped. Simple diaphragm pumps have a diaphragm, two valves, a displacement chamber, and a driving mechanism. The diaphragm is a flexible membrane that vibrates to create suction to move fluid in and out of the pumping chamber. It is located between the side of the displacement chamber and an attached flange. The two valves are usually flapper valves or spring-loaded ball valves that are made of the same material as the diaphragm. They operate by admitting the liquid in and out of the chamber. The driving mechanism is what activates the diaphragm into operation. There are a number of different driving mechanisms that diaphragm pumps may use. The two most common are air operated and motor driven. Air operated diaphragm metering pumps use compressed air to drive a double diaphragm (two diaphragms) alternatively. A shuttle valve alternates the air flow between the two diaphragms. The flow of the media that is being pumped is adjusted by how much air pressure is supplied to the pump. Motor driven diaphragm metering pumps uses the rotary motion of a motor, which is converted to a reciprocating movement via a cam mechanism, to cause a displacement in the volume of the liquid, transferring it at a consistent rate. Peristaltic Metering Pumps Peristaltic metering pumps, like diaphragm metering pumps, are positive displacement pumps. However, they operate quite differently. Peristaltic pumps use rotating rollers to squeeze a flexible tube to move the liquid in a pressurized flow. As the tube is constricted and the low-pressure volume increases, it creates a vacuum that pulls the liquid into the tube. The liquid is then pushed through the tubing as the tubing is constricted at several points by the rollers. With each oscillating or rotating motion, the fluid flows through the tubing. Peristaltic metering pumps are designed as either circular (rotary) or linear. Benefits of Metering Pumps Metering pumps, whether diaphragm or peristaltic, provide many benefits to the industries where they are used. They are reliable for dispersing the exact amount of liquid that is needed accurately and consistently. Additionally, you will find the following advantages when using metering pumps: They commonly move low amounts of liquid – Because metering pumps are so accurate and precise, they are often used to move low amounts of fluid. They are typically measured by their capability to pump gallons per minute, instead of gallons per hour, which is an industry standard. They can pump various types of liquid – Metering pumps are able to move a variety of fluids, from thin to thick, and even hazardous or corrosive chemicals. They can be used for many different applications – Metering pumps are used in many different industries including medicine, food processing, agriculture, and manufacturing. They prevent contamination – Both diaphragm and peristaltic metering pumps are effective in preventing the media being pumped from contaminating the pump and the workspace. While metering pumps work effectively for many applications and different liquids, it isn’t recommended that they be used for moving most types of gases. Pressure and back pressure High pressures are no problem in metering systems as long as there is something to counter them. ProMinent hydraulic diaphragm metering pumps therefore use a hydraulic fluid to create back pressure. The benefits this brings to the diaphragms become evident very quickly. The industries in which ProMinent’s hydraulics technology is used: Oil/gas production (onshore/offshore) Refineries Chemical / petrochemical industry Pharmaceuticals & cosmetics Food production Packaging industry (bottling pumps) What you can expect The pumps run. They do this well and for a long time. Your hydraulic control is very precise and requires only minimal maintenance. The diaphragms are durable and provide consistently accurate metering. The technology also offers a very high standard of safety: there is a pressure relief valve in the hydraulic end as protection against overload. The multi-layer diaphragms are equipped with a diaphragm rupture warning system as standard. So you can be sure that the feed chemicals cannot mix with the hydraulic oil. Small-scale reverse osmosis plants that can produce less than 50 m 3 /d are vital for small communities in villages located in remote areas. The design parameters of such plants involve low flow rate and high-pressure feed. For such operating conditions, reciprocating pumps are more favorable than centrifugal pumps because the efficiency of centrifugal pumps in such conditions is reduced extensively. Recently, reciprocating pumps with energy recovery are presented by several pump companies for desalination applications. The concept of energy recovery in these pumps is quite similar to that used in pressure exchangers. In these pumps, the pressurized brine is directed to the back of the pumping pistons which reduces the pumping motor required power. This work presents a numerical simulation and experimental analysis for such pumps. The numerical simulation includes a computational fluid dynamics transient analysis for the used pump. The analysis is presented using both two-dimensional and three-dimensional models. The effects of the operational and design parameters on the performance of the pump and its volumetric efficiency are investigated. The results show that increasing the valve spring stiffness increases the volumetric efficiency. It also shows that increasing the outlet pressure and piston speed reduces the volumetric efficiency. The most striking result to emerge from the data is that reducing the valve spring stiffness below a specific value results in large reduction on the volumetric efficiency. Results of high-pressure reciprocating pump’s testing at different operating conditions are evaluated. The results of the presented numerical simulation were compared with the experimental results at several operating conditions, and the deviation was less than 10%. What is a pneumatic diaphragm pump? An air operated double diaphragm pump is a pneumatic pump that uses a patented air valve that directs compressed air between two sides of the pump, back and forth. It can operate on regular compressed air, clean dry air, nitrogen, or even natural gas.님의 프로필 사진
